History[]
Ulysses Klaue's Deal[]
- "You really need to leave, now."
"Klaue is leaving out that door with me. You've been warned." - ―Everett Ross and T'Challa[src]
Okoye informed her King T'Challa that the criminal Ulysses Klaue planned to sell stolen Vibranium to an unidentified buyer in South Korea. Therefore, T'Challa, Okoye and Nakia journeyed to Busan. Posing as wealthy Kenyan citizens, they managed to enter the Jagalchi Market Casino, where the deal was supposed to happen, thanks to Nakia's associate Sophia.
The Wakandans entered the casino and split up to cover more area. They quickly spotted several Americans and T'Challa recognized CIA Agent Everett Ross among them. T'Challa approached Ross and announced his intent to capture Klaue, despite the obvious fact that Ross was Klaue's secret buyer. As they tried to reach an agreement, Klaue arrived with more armed bodyguards.
While the Wakandans hid so that Klaue would not recognize them, Klaue and Ross made their trade. However, Okoye was eventually spotted by Klaue's bodyguards. She attacked them, which triggered a brawl in the casino as Klaue unsuccessfully tried to shoot Ross, who got to safety behind a gambling table with T'Challa. T'Challa, Nakia and Okoye then kept fighting against Klaue's men until T'Challa confronted Klaue in person, calling him a murderer.
In order to escape, Klaue armed his arm cannon and shot at T'Challa, who threw a podium filled with money to defend himself. The podium was completely blasted, knocking T'Challa's aside and making the money it contained fall in the casino, much to Klaue's amusement. Klaue and his men then left the casino, quickly followed by Okoye and Nakia, and later T'Challa.[1]
