The 29th Precinct Police Station is New York City Police Department precinct located in New York City, New York.

History[]

Investigating the Junkyard[]

In the 29th Precinct Police Station, detective Misty Knight spread out all the evidence on the case in the junkyard on the wall near her desk. Knight envisioned the scene in her head attempting to recreate what happened. She and detevtive Rafael Scarfe then pondered over theories on what happened.[1]

Death of Cornell Stokes[]

Sorting through the Hammer Industries weapons that she had confiscated from the Raid of Colon's Gym, Misty Knight talked with Priscilla Ridley about the bust. Ridley told Kinght that she was not out of trouble yet. Knight then received a call informing her that Cornell Stokes had been murdered at Harlem's Paradise.[2]

Chase of Luke Cage[]

Interrogating Claire Temple[]

Shakened from her encounter and near death, Misty Knight requested to Priscilla Ridley to interview Claire Temple, to which she reluctantly allowed. In the interrogation room, Knight gradually became aggressive, as she asked Temple on the whereabouts of Luke Cage, whom was "Carl Lucas", and the identity of the shooter. When Temple persistently becomes noncompliant, Knight was erratic; Temple tried to leave the room when Knight shouts for her to remain seated. A comment on the lack of power Knight had, Temple was pulled and pushed against a wall, mockingly questioning her authority until Ridley entered the room and interrupted the conversation.[3]

Ridley apologized to Temple for Knight's actions and questioned if she wished to press charges of assault against her subordinate; Temple rejected the offer, making the statement that Cage was innocent.[3]

Knight's Intervention[]

With Misty Knight's emotional outburst towards Claire Temple, the New York City Police Department tasked doctor Gabe Krasner to do a phychological evaluation on Knight in the 29th Precinct Police Station interrogation room. Knight refused to answer any of Krasner's questions at first, but eventually opened up. She described multiple situations to Krasner including her romantic encounter with Luke Cage, the death of her cousin, Cassandra, her relationship with Rafael Scarfe, and her encounter with Diamondback. Eventually, Knight broke down in tears, realizing what she had done, while Priscilla Ridley watched from behind the two way mirror. Krasner left and Ridley gave Knight her gun and shield back, instructing her to bring in Cage.[4]

Arrest of Mariah Dillard[]

Charged with the murder of her cousin, Cornell Stokes, Mariah Dillard was arrested and brought to the 29th Precinct Police Station. Her mugshot was taken and Dillard was placed in an interrogation room. She was then interrogated by Priscilla Ridley and Misty Knight. Knight played a recording of Candace Miller admitting Dillard was the one who killed her cousin. Knight was then informed by Mark Bailey that detective Donnie Chang had found the dead body of Miller. Dillard set free with the new information.[5]

War for New York[]

Youth of Harlem[]

Some time after Luke Cage was sent back to finish his sentence at Seagate Prison, the police department was set on several cases in which the youth of Harlem have been found dead in different locations, their death commonly covered up in a strange occurrence. While Misty Knight and Cage were being reconnected, she mentioned the death of Sean Miller, whom supposedly took on an underground job, only for his body to be found in an apparently car explosion.[6]

John Raymond Case[]

Brought in when Misty Knight found the body of John Raymond, Jessica Jones was put into the interrogation room of the 29th Precinct Police Station. Jones was interrogated by Knight until Matt Murdock instructed her to stop talking. Murdock spoke with Jones and informed her the New York City Police Department couldn't hold her and Jones left the precinct.[7]

Police Protection[]

"All right, listen up, everybody. I know you don't wanna be here, but it seems that you are all of interest to some pretty powerful and dangerous people. Now, to protect you, I need your cooperation. Sit tight for now. We'll have more answers soon."
Misty Knight[src]

Arriving at the 29th Precinct Police Station, Luke Cage turned to Misty Knight at her desk and requested that she assist in the protection of his and others' friends at the station. When she began to question the reason behind it, Cage continued to hold back, warning that the information would do her harm than good at the moment and that she would be left in disbelief. Eventually, Iron Fist and Claire Temple arrived at the scene with a bleeding Colleen Wing placed in front of Knight's desk.[8][9][10]
