Now we know this destruction comes with an ideology. A movement... of hate. But in the face of hate, what else can we do but fully commit ourselves to love? And forgiveness? And pray for them--yes, even them.

Synopsis for 1st story

Following in the wake of Tony Stark's apparent death, the Ultimates try to cope with the loss of their leader. On the one year anniversary of the attack on Stark Tower, Father Matt Murdock gives a speech at the Stark Tower Memorial in which the Ultimate Network are falsely recognized for the attack. Although Murdock believed the lies, he pleads for love and forgiveness to the Ultimates.

Steve and Jim visit a pub in which they frequent back in the 1940s. They discuss the state of their team in which they need a new leader, specifically Steve, to guide them.

Hank and Janet attend Murdock's speech. The couple are weighed by their responsibilities as superheroes in which Hank expresses his fears that their actions had caused more innocent people to die directly or indirectly.

Hawkeye infiltrates an Oscorp Defense warehouse where weapons are being shipped to the Upper and Lower Kingdoms for their "secret war." The vigilante destroys the weapons and the entire building while sparing the security guards and loaders.

In Guatemala, a student protest movement staged a demand for the restoration of democracy in their country. However, their demands are met with a violent response from armored riot policemen. The violence is stopped by the appearance of America who then uses her powers to melt the policemen's high-tech armors, effectively trapping them in their armors. Thereafter, America speaks with the protestors, telling them about a better world she believed existed, or could exist, and the purpose of the Ultimates. She soon departs before teleporting the protestors back to their homes from being arrested.

Sif and Thor travel to Yggdrasil to raise an army from across the Nine Realms in order to launch a rebellion against All-Father Loki.

On the Triskelion, Lejori physically man-handles Doom as she demands him to teleport her back to her home and her people. But Doom explains that he cannot allow her, as the Hulk still monitors her island and will very likely capture her and torture her to reveal everything about the Ultimates. Lejori dejectedly puts down Doom and now realizes staying away from her people is the only thing that keeps her people safe. But Doom reassures Lejori that he can hack the Hulk's surveillance system to keep check on her people. For now, they can only continue their war against the Maker's Council. Doom and Lejori then look into a container that holds Tony's comatose body.

Eleven months remaining...
