History
20th century[]
In 1900, Captain Benedict Xavier led a Royal Navy expedition in Northern Canada, where the crew, trapped in ice, faced low morale until a seal hunt lifted spirits. When Xavier suggested a toast, his officer, Hollister, was possessed by Omega Red, sent by Mikhail Rasputin to eliminate Charles Xavier's ancestors. Chaos ensued as Omega Red controlled various crew members, leading to attacks on Xavier [2]. A possessed white whale then emerged, but Wolverine, whose mind was sent back in time by Profess X and Jean Grey, intervened. Together, they defeated the whale [3], and Wolverine accompanied Xavier back to port. Later, Charles and Jean erased memories of the incident to protect the timeline [4].
World War II[]
At the start of World War II in 1939, the Royal Navy was the largest in the world. It was the UK leading defence force against the Nazi's and the other Axis powers. The encountered a merchant sailor; Barnabus Mullen during his dangerous trip from Portugal to the Netherlands.[5]
Modern Age[]
When Doctor Strange was murdered, the mystic barrier around Earth that protected the planet from other-dimensional threats fell. Dagoth, among others, immediately took advantage of it and raised the sunken city of Kalumesh from the seafloor off the coast of Cornwall.[6] The British Navy was strongly considering shelling Kalumesh,[1] before the city was attacked by the Three Mothers who slaughtered many (or all) of its non-human inhabitants before capturing their prey, Dagoth.[7]See Also
