History
A survivor of the extermination of Genosha by the Sentinels, Josette survived only because she was off the island visiting some of her relatives when the attack on Genosha occurred. Charles Xavier offered her and some other survivors a place to stay at the mansion. During her stay, she used her powers to attempt to seduce Angel, but when that failed she attempted again, this time on Iceman, which seemed to work. However, her husband found out and was enraged. Robert attempted to kill Iceman, while his wife begged him not to but to no avail. Iceman was saved by Northstar who cut Robert in half. Josette, shocked, was seen screaming. However, her husband wasn't truly dead and was placed in a stasis tube to recover.[1]

Empathy: Josette is a low-level empath. She can feel what other feel. She also seems to have the power to influence the feelings of others as she used her powers as a form of seduction. However, men who are truly in love with someone else or suffer the loss of their loved ones are resistant to her power as seen with Angel who rejected her advances due to the loss of Psylocke.
