"House of M" stands for the House of Magnus. It refers to King Magnus' family, the rulers of Genosha. However, it can also refer to the reality in which they rule and/or the event in which the Scarlet Witch rewrote reality and gave people their desires (most importantly, Magneto's desire for mutants to be the dominant species over humanity).[1]
