History

The history of Earth-71214 is up to a certain point identical to the history of Earth-200111. As in the latter reality, Nick Fury was an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. during the Cold War and took care of Wendel Poznowski, the son of a comrade who died in battle.

Fury deliberately lets go of the wheelchair to kill Wendel.

Fury took Wendel to the zoo and let go of the wheelchair at the descent, causing it to roll down with Wendel and crash into the tiger enclosure. The boy was eaten alive, as Fury calmly watched.

Notes

• This reality was glimpsed as a daydream by Nick Fury of Earth-200111 and was a reflection of his secret desires - to give up a quiet life, remove Wendel from his life and return to wartime. Before he dies, Wendel-71214 says what Fury desires most.
