lumemiruuuuuuuuuuu
well…recently ive been getting interested on playing visual novels, mostly bc ive found there soundtracks on spotify (some ive found are dramatical murder, saya no uta, angelos armas, sweet Pool, etc) so i wondered if there was a website idk that allowed u to run vn (or video game) files. i dont know a lot abt this, so it might not be posible, but it’ll be incredibly useful since i cant install much of the games there, since i need permission on my pc (and anyway, i dont want my parents to know, so is safer to do it online) and i would like to play them on my laptop too (i also need permission there ;-;), idk if it makes sense, but pls tell me if u know anything:)

Date: 2024-12-01 08:03 am (UTC)it would depend on the game. the web browser is a very different platform to build games for, compared to a program running natively on a computer, and games built specifically for Windows and the like might not be able to run at all in a web browser, without running Windows itself inside of it (very bad idea, would be incredibly slow).
for games built on an engine like RenPy or Love, I think it's possible you could get them running in a web browser, assuming you have the game files. that being said, I can't find information on the game engine behind any of the ones you listed there, so it's likely they use some in-house system that would be difficult to run in a browser.
if you have access to a payment method of some form, you could see about getting a computer in the cloud with a service like Microsoft Azure. I'm not super familiar with it, but I think you could get something for ~$5.00-10.00/mo, assuming you only use it a few hours daily.
