used my monthly free ticket because i wasnt busy and GOD i needed a rewatch. spent a lot of the time gauging crowd reactions and everyone was really digging it. lots of gasps and murmuring, plus a girl straight-up shrieked at one point. the vibe of this movie is so enthralling and enchanting, every slow zoom in this movie invites you into the dark in such a sinister way. holds up even better upon rewatch now that i have a full portrait of it, with a lot of little seeds planted throughout that are very rewarding upon rewatch. the mystery of this movie holds up because of the context behind it, and damn is that context interesting. love me some satanic imagery!
