This is essentially:
Gris (2018) + Stray (2022) = Flow (2024)
and believe me, its so much better than that description might make it out to be (even though those games are good.)

this movie is if you made an hour long 2008-esque youtube video with the budget of a fan film and had a script that is practically the first draft of a story full of genuinely interesting ideas and i really like it

(Trigger warning: suicide)
I wanted to save this for later. Much much later. But I just can't anymore. Life seems so much more horrifying for me tonight.
Someone I follow named Emi is breaking down over the US Election results, and I don't blame her. She might be contemplating death, which I understand. It must be truly awful for her and I wish her the best.
I've felt trapped too. College is taking a mental toll on me I've never…

I've seen this one movie 10 times within over a year. It has been and still is my favorite movie ever made and I think it's honestly a shame more people don't recognize it as one of the greats.
I told some people I was seeing this in theaters tonight, and people started talking about Spirited Away and Grave of the Fireflies and all I could think was "What makes this movie so unfavored?"
While watching, I absolutely loved the first and…

The last sequence + the end credits always gives me a warm cozy feeling. I love seeing it every year or so. Imo the coziest of the "main" 3 specials but the one with the least to say. Marcie is my favorite character btw.
Anyone remember the retelling of the colonization of the US short that would always follow this special when it was on the air? I miss that kinda stuff.

Despite some minor issues, I believe this movie deserves the rank of "perfection" and should stand alongside the greatest movies of all time, as it is one with so much significance in our world, as well as a masterful display of talent and creative ideas.
It is a truly grand and out-of-this-world tale, an old one, but built with impressive, groundbreaking animation, breathtaking music and acting, and of course, good writing. You can retell Hamlet, but you will never need…

Firstly, check out the other movie I saw today, Flow, a new animated movie about a team of voiceless animals facing a natural disaster. Its great and I want more people to know about this masterpiece.

My time with this movie tonight is learning that this is an accurate depiction of what living alone for the first time is like. also the movie is basically a cartoon at the end, and its better for it

...oh fuck, I've not felt this immersed, so depressed, exhausted and taken aback by this movie for a while, let alone basically any other film.
Some things in this viewing just finally clicked* with me, things I didn't fully understand before. And when they did, they hit me like a truck. Multiple times in the second half did I exclaim how depressing this movie can be.
I will never feel what I felt the first time, the awe and genuine…

I wanted to watch this on the day of the full moon this month, and I did watch the first half last night, but I need to value my health more (I also replayed Celeste)
Its always kinda scary re-watching this because in my head, I'm asking myself "will I still love it the same way I did before?" Its a part of my severe anxiety I think, but I'm always proven wrong. In fact, I didn't think I was…
