Very atmospheric, was I scared? No, but what I felt was dread throughout the entire movie, I felt like Longlegs was lurking just off camera and that creeped me out. It did have its comedic moments which gave a reprieve from the depravity of Nic Cage as Longlegs; only he could pull off such a twisted character that kept us guessing in each scene he was in! Maika Monroe as Lee Harker was great, her reactions were priceless, love that she continues to work in horror. Kiernan Shipka, in the one scene we got her in, was incredible, I wanted more with her as Carrie Anne. I think I’ll watch Blackcoat’s Daughter now.
