Remember watching this a few years back and absolutely hating it. With the new one coming out and seeing so many of my friends rewatching this, I thought I will give this another shot and My God it was worth it.

Really loved the serious approach here, an interesting spin to the screenplay. The characters weren’t annoying and made a lot of sensible decisions. The direction and cinematography was brilliant. The climax looked stunning. The performances were amazing especially by Jane Levy, she killed it. The on and off humor was pretty good.

But my goodness the gore, the river of blood, the nasty violence, the insane butchering was gobsmacking fun. This was 5X violent than the original trilogy. It was awesome to witness this insanity.

I did miss the humor and the story was way too predictable but this was a bold move. I really respect that. A complete bloodbath, loved it.

A solid 83% for this.
