Well, hi there!
Happy 10th birthday to this movie! 🥳
Oh how much I love this film and how excited I was to rewatch this.
Mia wants to get sober and heads to her family's cabin along with her brother David and their friends Eric, Olivia and Natalie. Upon finding a book that is bound in human leather they don't just gtfo of the cabin as they *should*. But it's fine as long as no one reads the Latin out loud....... right? Right?
This is such a fun movie. Everytime I watch this, I cry because of the dog. Everytime I get so annoyed with Eric and as usual I spent the entire runtime cursing him out. I'm obsessed with Olivia not puking upon being puked on... Like please wash your hair, I can count like every single of the pieces of bread in it.. (let's pretend it's bread! 🍞)
And Natalie with that electric knife! It's such a great scene and one of my favorites that I look forward to on every rewatch.
I remember my utter shock when I realized that David would not be the final boy of this movie. Honestly, it was unrealistic because throughout all of that nothing happened to him - other than that gunshot. Like is he possession-proof?
Now, Mia. What a fantastic final girl. She fights well and she is so much fun to watch with that chainsaw! And I love the sight of her absolutely drenched in blood from head to toe. Classic.
This got me even more excited for Evil Dead Rise! Groovy! 🩸
