I had a really good time with Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, because there’s much more of The Geuse, there are lots of funny moments, mostly involving Willem Dafoe or the Tiny-Heads and Winona Ryder kills it. The film takes so much liberty at being random and fun, for example Beetlejuice telling his origin story in Italian (I might be wrong) or smartly dodging a recast in the way they involve the father in the story, without just killing him off.
My main problem was mostly the storyline of Jenna Ortega, which reminded me too much of the horrors of Halloween Ends and almost got me barfing, and Monica Bellucci, who spends the whole film walking around, leaving the story without any impact. She might as well not be part of the film.
