Collectivism vs Individualism, small town Americana complete with the cartoonish villain and picturesque nuclear family, extremely dated so much that it becomes timeless, would make an interesting double feature with either La La Land or The Farewell for either community dynamics or the cost of your dreams and putting them on hold. Sentimental almost to a fault but a classic nonetheless. Frank Capra churned our classics like clockwork, creating the image of classic Hollywood and America that still persists to this day.
