    Happy Feet Two

Haven’t seen a young kid unite the nations with singing like this since the Walmart yodel kid.

I have to say I think it may be genuinely better than the original? George Miller is not one to half-ass things for a quick cash grab, and this is no exception. Unnecessarily ambitious. This was really very cute / wholesome with a lot of loveable whacky characters that exist to make you smile and feel things. Silly little penguins and their troubles nearly had me tearing up at a few points too.

And so begins my first ever deep dive into the MI franchise. De Palma truly has the juice, bringing to life some very tense and electric moments with unsurprisingly elite camerawork. Aside from Tom Cruise hanging upside down, the only other thing suspended is my disbelief! So many silly moments but boy did I love every second of them.

Untold: Jake Paul the Problem Child

    ½

To absolutely no one’s surprise, this is a blatantly biased money grabbing propaganda piece trying to glamorise the Paul brothers, portray them as victims of their family and society, and invalidate all criticism thrown their way over the years. It’s also a shameless attempt to a) save face after a horribly embarrassing loss to Tommy Fury; and b) pretend that Jake’s career against mostly unprofessional boxers actually has some degree of credibility even though he really hasn’t done enough to…

    The Hatchet Wielding Hitchhiker

Media and news outlets are absolute spineless parasites. The way the people interviewed here described their plans and excitement in trying to force Kai into their box despite clear signs that he wasn’t interested or stable enough to participate is disgusting. By no means are they responsible for Kai’s eventual actions, but the approach they took of trying to pressure him into the public eye under the guise of “helping him” was selfish, greedy, disingenuous, and I’m sure damaging to a…
