    One of the greatest animated movies ever undeniably.

    I know we are comparing fantasy and science fiction, but this is the closest a film has gotten to touching a Lord of the Rings film that I can remember. The emotion, action and storytelling paired with the phenomenal score make this among the greatest science fiction films ever made, and probably the greatest of the millennia. Outside of its genre, it still serves as one of the sexiest looking films ever made. Denis Villenueve is at the top of his game and is the only director currently rivaling Chris Nolan.

    Eggers is probably the only director I’d trust to remake this cinematic landmark, and he does it well. The substance of the film is precisely what you’d expect, nothing new or original there, but the style is what makes this worth seeing. It really does the characters and era justice.
