Timeless classic can be enjoyed any time of the year, for it is an absolute masterpiece and a remarkable accomplishment, but it especially resonates during the holiday season. Genuine, touching, humorous, and grippingly dramatic, it features a brilliant, nuanced performance from the great Jimmy Stewart. It is also way darker than pop culture would have you believe, with many of the lines feeling way ahead of their time in their gloves-off honesty.
One of the most emotionally satisfying endings of all time.
There aren’t many films that capture the essence of humanity effortlessly.
