There is so much weirdness about this film that trumps Beetlejuice, but in a way something about it oddly works. There’s so many intersecting plot lines and plot points that pop in and out, almost seemingly too many. For a sequel it isn’t exactly the worst, and there were a bit of unexpected scenes that I didn’t expect, but man this movie just gave off such a weird and wacky feeling to me
Honestly though, I kind of liked it. It had some wacky and weird underside to it, even if sometimes those weird moments just came out of nowhere, almost suffocating what could’ve been actual scenes. I wasn’t exactly the biggest fan of Beetlejuice, so I didn’t have much to look forward going into it. While it did have some honesty pretty good special effects and acting, as I mentioned prior, it was all over the place. Really felt like they had enough material for two sequels instead of just Beetlejuice Beetlejuice
Definitely not my favourite film of 2024, but it was decent
