Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice

forget Baby Yoda because we have something better: BABYJUICE !

[Review]
BeetlejuiceBeetlejuice is somehow a good film !

I remember being terrified after watching the first trailer, wondering why Tim Burton decided to make a sequel to BEETLEJUICE. Even inside the movie theater, I was crossing my fingers for at least an average film.

The film is in fact very generous. The best thing is that Burton knew how to approach this sequel: make it a very funny moment for the audience ! The tone is quite different compared to the first one with more gags and a more basic story, which is something good. Overall every actor is great and has their own moment. Winona Ryder and Jenna Ortega are a superb duo that deal with a difficult mother/daughter relation plot, which is something very interesting for a sequel. Michael Keaton and Willem Dafoe are both excellent and very funny, exactly what we were expecting. Catherine O’Hara, Justin Theroux and Arthur Conti are also very good. However, I have an issue Monica Belluci’s character, who is extremely useless and not interesting. It feels more like Burton wanted to include his wife inside the film. In general, the plot is very simple but enough developed to be watchable. At the end, you come out of the movie theater with a smile on your face, because the goal of the film is to be funny and it is really funny. An honest approach that deserves to be seen.
