listen i know why they aren’t in it for logistics reasons ya know ghosts can’t age but i truly think not having my dear friends barbara and adam maitland in this is like,,, at the core of my issues with this film cause their characters are kind of central to what makes the whole thing work in the original film because they’re such uncynical characters who have to combat this very cynical absurd afterlife and i feel like having every character be some form of modern cynic lessens the heart this film is trying to capture in lydia and astrid’s relationship
anyway i still think lydia is a lesbian idgaf that she had a kid you can’t make me accept anything as canon fuck you tim burton
