Star Wars 1977

“The Force is strong with this one.”

This is an iconic film that has leaved a big sign in the cinema history, especially for the sci-fi. Technically and visually it hasn’t aged of one single day, and it’s still visual stunning. The characters are so much iconic that the fact that they aren’t so much developed in this first chapter isn’t a big problem nowadays. The pace is perfect, with a balanced time of action and plot development. So the film is still very enjoyable for the present and i can’t immagine the excitement for those who watched it in 1977.

Il film tecnicamente è fantastico con alternarsi di piani sequenza e macchine a mano rapidissime che fanno venire un senso di ansia e malinconia per tutta la seconda metà del film.
Il montaggio inizialmente pacato -circa fino a quando non scoprono cosa c’era nella sangria- nel finale diventa schizzato e frenetico, facendo comunque capire perfettamente cosa stia succedendo in scena.
Il problema quindi non è la tecnica ma la sostanza, essendo che non c’è una vera e propria trama, ma seguiamo semplicemente il delirio dei vari personaggi. Il film non è brutto, ribadisco che tecnicamente è interessante quanto intoccabile, ma semplicemente non rientra nei miei gusti.
