Into the Spider-Verses: Prep for No Way Home

Part ISpider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Starting the preparations for No Way Home right (and the possibilities it may or may not hold) with the first movie to dabble in the multiverse. Planning to zoom through two decades worth of films before No Way Home is released in theaters.

So without further ado…

“All right, people,
let’s do this one last time”

Tonight I watched the Alternative Universe Mode that features an intro and outro from Phil Lord & Chris Miller. Plus tons of extended scenes and alternate scenes not seen in the original.

The first time I saw this movie I was completely
blown away, as I am sure was the case for most as well. This was such a breath of fresh air. It has its completely own style that’s different from all the other studios out there such as; Disney, Pixar, Laika, WB,  Dreamworks, Ghibli, Trigger, and whatever other anime studios I am forgetting.  It just felt miles ahead of what everyone was doing at the time. Which is needed to push the art form forward. Especially with some of the garbage some of these studios have put out.

Illumination! *cough, cough* Blue Sky!

But that’s a another rant for another another time, another movie.  We’re here to talk about this awesome tale of the Spider-People.

Which they set out to create some sweet character designs along with some equally sweet actors to voice them.

Not to mention the music in this is great, and I’m not just talking about the pop songs. The actual themes in this are just as good as Spider-Maguire’s. I mean Prowler’s theme is downright terrifying. 😱

And I was kind of blindsided by this movie. If I remember correctly it was kept under wraps pretty well with little leaks. It wasn’t until I think when I got the Venom blu ray that I first saw anything for this movie, which came with the scene were Miles first meets Peter B. Parker. I was blown away then just as much as I am every time I watch this movie.

Hopefully No Way Home takes some notes from this and is able to pull off the multiverse just as clean as this. 🤞🤞

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🧡

P.S. Thought this would be a nice NYC commemoration for today’s US holiday as well, other than watching United 93 or Oliver Stone’s World Trade Center, both of which are hard watches.

We Will Never Forget 🇺🇸
