Into the Spider-Verse may just be the most ambitious Spider-Man movie EVER. Providing something totally new while also merging it with what made Spider-Man special in the first place.
The film introduces the idea of different Spider-Man introducing an ensemble cast that by putting spotlight on Miles Morales while having a supporting cast serve as the mentor. The villains are also really great too and much than your typical bad guys. The talented voice cast helps with this further.
Also this film is really funny- seriously every joke here is leagues better than ANY of the humor in MCU and has a great sense of self awareness.
And of course the animation. The animation is just amazing; taking stylistic approach of 3D animation combined with 2D elements and almost feels like a comic book in motion.
The soundtrack was a was a nice touch too.
Into The Spider-Verse pushed the boundaries of what Superhero movies can do and what animation can do.
