An absolutely tremendous film with so much messaging and themes that make you truly think about the world we live in, and the performances are simply great with the great Kang Ho Song delivering once again like he normally does. Bong Joon Ho sure did a mighty fine job crafting this and this was a very deserved best picture winner at the Oscar’s. Was a pleasure seeing this again 😊
]]>I said to myself that I would never see this again as I was so disturbed by this and don’t get me wrong it is a hard watch but it’s an absolute masterpiece. The realism and the true terror and horror of war is felt from minute one in this and it shows how evil mankind can be. The performance from Aleksei Kravchenko is one of the very best if not the best I’ve seen from a young actor ever it’s truly amazing acting. So yeah it was good seeing this again but I won’t be rushing anytime soon to seeing this again
]]>A fantastic film with so much energy bursting from the steams and not just that the performances here are raw and just all round great, and I love some of the cinematography in this to. Such a class film 🔥
]]>To be fair when I first saw this I wasn’t taken by it but on a 2nd watch this was really good and I’ve got to say visually this film is superb to as every Malick film is. The combat scenes are also great as well and that scene where Zimmers score is blasting throughout it gave me goosebumps. So yeah I’m really pleased I took to it a lot more this time 😊
]]>High octane, frenetic energy and dripping in Tarantino flair ! Man this film is so so entertaining and Urma Thurman is so badass and I have to say to on a rewatch the dialogue in this is superb and I just love the scenes of confrontation they are just so well done. By the way that Samurai scene is fucking awesome to 😮💨🔥
]]>As for coming of age dramas go this was okay, but I did find some of it as the saying goes “ same old same old “ and the reason I say that is the film doesn’t do anything to different it kinda plays everything safe. But performance wise it was alright and their are some good moments, but overall it didn’t do enough for me
]]>Truthfully at first I didn’t mind it but as it went on and on I was genuinely feeling so bored and I couldn’t help but feel I wanted it to be over quick, but Jacob Elordi was decent and Gere was okay to. But overall this was a bore
]]>It pains me to give this a low rating but unfortunately I couldn’t connect with this and even though I think Pablo Larrain is a very good director i feel this is his joint worst film in this unofficial trilogy of his. But the massive positive for me was Angelina Jolie who gives her best performance in a very long time and I think she’s coming for an Oscar nomination for this, but I don’t think she’s gonna win it. Cinematography was also lush to in this and there’s some gorgeous shots, but it lacks an emotional element and that’s why for me I struggled massively with it. So yeah I’m a bit disappointed
]]>In my opinion this is my favourite Cuaron film even though I do love Prisoner Of Askaban, but this film is genuinely such a gem and i love the performances here especially from Clive Owen. Even though it can be a hard watch it’s a brilliant film and that explosion in the beginning always catches me off guard 😅
]]>When I first watched this was a long time ago and I didn’t initially click with it even though I thought the film was pretty good, but on a rewatch I can safely say I think this film is great. The visceral and emotional punch this carries really does hit you on a rewatch to and the realism of it feels so authentic, and that’s a lot of it being down to Sam mendes brilliant directing. George McKay is also so good to and the supporting cast are good to making you feel the true tortures of war. So yeah I’m pleased I got around to seeing it and I’m happy that I took to it so much more
]]>Dripping in Michael Mann finesse and visually this film is so so good, also James Caan is captivating in this and one of my favourite performances from him. Cracking watch is this
]]>Last time I saw this was last year and I don’t get why I’ve left it till this late to watch it again and I’ve got to say this film is a masterpiece and a definitive gem in the superhero genre. The animation is spectacular and the voice acting is simply fantastic, also at the heart of this is a beautifully well told story about a kid who just wants to do the right thing in life, but realises that life has so many bumps, and that what makes the movie special as its themes are so resonant with yourself. Absolutely loved seeing this again and I can’t wait for Beyond The Spider Verse now ❤️🕷️🕸️
]]>Visceral, brutal and an unrelenting journey into the heart of darkness. This is so good and Coppola’s direction is honestly superb, and Brandos cameo at the end just gives me goosebumps. Terrific film is this 🧡🖤
]]>I rate Robert Eggers so much as a filmmaker and after watching this again it’s clear to see even more that he’s a man with a passion for cinema. Anya Taylor Joy is one of them actresses to me if she’s in a film I’m watching it it’s that simple and I just love her performance in this, and I also really like Ralph Inneson in this to and as an actor. The cinematography, the vibe and the way eggers constructs atmosphere is very impressive and I’m just so so excited to see what he’s gonna do with Nosferatu 🖤
]]>One of Chris Nolan’s most underrated films in my opinion, this film and the way it’s crafted is wonderful and the cinematography and score are just great to. Also the ensemble are great in this and I really like Tom Hardys role in this as well. An under appreciated movie that deserves a bit more love and i can’t lie it’s great on a rewatch to
]]>When I first watched this I was gobsmacked at what I had just seen and after seeing it again after such a long time, Ari Aster sure did craft a proper horror film that makes you tense, uncomfortable and downright uneasy. Also Toni Collette who is simply acting her absolute heart out and how the hell the academy didn’t recognise her performance is beyond me, and I do truly hate how the academy look down on horror films. Happy though that I got around to seeing this again 🔥
]]>I think after seeing this again I can safely say I’m a big vampire nerd officially now haha, but in all seriousness I think this film is so good and while it’s not as good as the 1922 silent film “Nosferatu “ i just love the feel of the film and Werner Herzog does a good job behind the camera. Also Klaus Kinski is pretty good as Orlock
]]>Jack Nicholson that’s all I can say man, what an actor ! This film is just fantastic and it was great to see it again after not seeing it for quite some time
]]>This was actually quite good I can’t lie and I really liked Matthew Mcconaughey performance here to, he is so commanding and the supporting cast of Jacob Lofland and Tye Sheridan are good here to. Only criticism I’d say genuinely is that some of it did drag a tad and certain things didn’t quite land for me, but other than that it was an enjoyable film
]]>As much as I love Alfred Hitchcock I found this to be a bit poor and I didn’t take to it that much, but some humour in here is quite good and the acting is good to from the cast, but overall it didn't really impress me
]]>One of Hitchcocks early works that I’ve wanted to watch for a while and it was good but it wasn’t great but I can tell that he was still learning his craft. Not everything comes together but it’s very hard to hate on his films
]]>Just a fun, fast paced electric ride from start to finish and I’m here for every minute of it. Dicaprio is on another level here and he should’ve won the Oscar for this and the supporting performances are just all sick to. Such an entertaining film and one of my favourites from Scorsese 😎
]]>Arguably one of my favourite bond films and I think Daniel Craig is tremendous in this one to, and the love story between him and vesper in this is my favourite of any Bond girl / Romance within the bond films. Also Mads Mikkelsen as Le Chiffre is cold as ice
]]>One of those special films that deserves all the praise it gets and this one is one that truly deserves it. This film earns its respect by so many who love cinema because it is a masterpiece in every way, and also the performances by Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman are outstanding to. This is by far for me the best prison film ever made and just an exceptional film. P.S, that ending is fucking brilliant 👏
]]>My favourite Miyazaki movie ! I just think this is absolutely fantastic and the animation is truly magnificent. The voice acting in this is amazing to and I love the way Miyazaki crafts an excellent story to that feels both heartfelt and beautiful. It’s truly a marvellous film 💫
]]>This has been on my mind for the last few days as I’ve been reminiscing about the day I went to see this and the hype and excitement I had for this film. I still find it surreal that Tobey and Andrew came back in this and I remember bursting into tears when I saw them come out of the portal, I felt like I was a kid again seeing two of my favourite actors to play my favourite superhero and on top of that to seeing all the villains from my childhood come back with Willem Dafoe as green goblin, Alfred Molina as Dock Ock, and of course the very rest. This is a pure love letter to all spider man fans like myself and I know some people say it’s nostalgia bait, but just being in there in that moment experiencing a part of your childhood coming back is something I’ll never truly forget. It has a special place in my heart this one and it always will ❤️🕷️🕸️
]]>A lot of people say to me which do you prefer ? Endgame or Infinity War and I always respond with I love them both in different ways. Infinity War I feel has the better ending but Endgame In my opinion has the better action sequences and it has the bigger moments especially with that incredible portal scene. I do think this is one of the best superhero movies ever made and it’s a movie experience I’ll never forget
]]>Such a brilliant film and every time I watch this I always get goosebumps at that ending my god it always hits me so so hard. Marvel at its best is this 🔥
]]>When I really think of my childhood and the films I loved growing up this one in particular really left an indelible mark on me. The themes in this resonate deeply with me and I always get emotional watching this to, and the characters in this are just fantastic to. Its always a pleasure seeing this as it brings back memories ❤️☺️
]]>Oh it’s so good is this and there’s so many moments that make me smile and laugh, and that entire “ I need a hero “ sequence is truly so cool. Quality film this 🙌
]]>This is so good man and lotso is one cold badass my god and the voice acting I think in this one is particularly very good to. But my overall feelings on this now is that this is my 2nd favourite Toy Story film and I think a big part of that is lotso and that emotional gut punch of an ending
]]>Ohh it’s been a while since I’ve seen this and seeing this again reminded me of how good Gene Wilder is in this role, he was truly born for it and just the entire cast work so well in this to. Was great seeing this again after a long time of not seeing it 🍫
]]>This is my favourite out of the Toy Story films because of its themes of friendship, love and longing to be liked and wanted, and I do get a bit emotional watching this to. The addition of Jesse elevates this massively to and I love her character in this, plus it’s pretty cool seeing Buzz and Zurg face off. This film will always have a cosy place in my heart it’s such a great movie ❤️
]]>One of my very favourite films from my childhood, man I love this movie it’s hilarious, heartfelt and my god I love Eddie Murphy as Donkey. Just such a great film 🙌
]]>My 2nd favourite Miyazaki movie and this film is truly magical and the story and the animation is top notch. Was a delight to watch this again after a while 💫
]]>God watching this again after not seeing it for ages brought back so many childhood memories and nostalgia. Have such a soft spot for this film ❤️
]]>Still a classic and while I know the animation doesn’t quite hold up to todays standards, it still means a lot to me as it is one of the first animated films that I fell in love with
]]>While I found the the true story and how IVF came about and how these three people did it, I couldn’t help but feel it was a biopic that at points came across melodramatic and I was a bit bored at points throughout the film. But Bill Nighy and Thomasin Mackenzie are the highlights for me overall. So yeah didn’t all come together for me but it was good to know about something that I didn’t know much about
]]>Can’t believe that I hadn’t seen this till now and I’ve got to say this was funny and John Hughes’s does a great job here to. Steve Martin and John Candy are so good in this and their relationship in the film is beaming with heart that I couldn’t help but just smile when them two are on screen, they are just infectious. Really pleased I’ve got around to seeing this it was such a laugh
]]>I had a feeling this wouldn’t be for me before I watched it and unfortunately I was right, but what I will say is that the performance from the lead here I thought was pretty good, and it does have a message present through the film that will resonate with some. But overall I just couldn’t get on board with it
]]>Always good rewatching this and JK Simmonds really did deserve to win his Oscar for this he’s truly brilliant
]]>Been a while since I last saw this but my god it was good seeing this film again and the performance from Jake Gyllenhaal in this film is bloody brilliant. It baffles me a bit how Jake has never been nominated for an Oscar because when he gets the right material to work with he’s a fucking good actor ! 🔥
]]>Woah this was better than what I thought it was gonna be and the performances from Carrell, Tatum and Ruffalo were genuinely really good. But there are few flaws that do weigh it down, but overall this has a lot more positives than negatives
]]>What a fascinating film this was and I was genuinely surprised at how good it was. John Malkovich was great as F.W Murnau and it was fascinating to see the creative process to what went in to making the fantastic silent film that is “ Nosferatu “. The main man of the show though was Willem Dafoe who is terrific in this and quite creepy I may say and he completely transforms and looks unrecognisable as count orlock. I can truly see why Willem got an Oscar nom for this and I was really impressed with this film overall it was a pleasure to watch
]]>Yeah I’ve got to be real and honest here, while I didn’t mind this and I think Ridley Scott’s direction is pretty good I just felt like this was just another generic war movie that didn’t really offer anything new to the genre or anything different from what I see in this particular genre. The performances were decent especially from Tom Hardy and Josh Hartnett and the other supporting cast were decent to. I also thought some of the visuals were ugly to and I thought the cinematography were a bit poor to in scenes and in many a ways it felt lazy from that point of view. So yeah overall while I think it’s a decent film I don’t see anything to rave about and it wasn’t as good as I thought it was gonna be
]]>An inarittu film I’ve been wanting to watch for quite some time now and I’ve got to say it didn’t disappoint at all. Javier Bardem gives such a complex and compelling performance that hit me hard at points, and I was very impressed with some of the supporting performances to. If I could pick out one negative it would be the runtime could’ve been cut by at least 10/15 minutes, but that’s me nick picking. So yeah I really enjoyed this overall though
]]>Electrifying, intense and just a thrilling film. Al Pacino as Tony Montana is one of my favourite roles from him he’s bloody amazing in this and every time he’s on screen I’m just amazed at the intensity at how he plays this role. Also De Palma direction in this is superb to and the cinematography and the score I really like in this to. Just a pure gangster film that pulls you in and never lets you go 🔥
]]>This film man god it’s so good and the dialogue and acting in this is just brilliant. Robin Williams in this film is captivating and every time he’s on screen in this I perk up and take in every piece of dialogue he says, because he says it with such an underlying passion and his speech to Damon’s Will Hunting in the park is nothing short of riveting. This is such a good film and it’s a movie that I walk away from thinking about life it’s self
]]>There’s some films where I cry, and then there are films that I cry my eyes out to and this film hits me so so hard every time I watch it. Paul Mescal gives a powerhouse performance in this and it’s my favourite performance from him so far, and his co star Frankie Corio is also outstanding to. This is one of my favourite films of the decade so far, and that ending will stay in my mind forever 🥺
]]>Every time I see this I always find something new to praise about it and I’m always in more awe at how much technical craft and creativity is used so so well throughout this. I also think Dicaprio’s performance is underrated here to and I wish he did more roles like this and the ensemble in this are outstanding to with Cillian and Tom Hardy especially being standouts. Also that ending and Hanz Zimmers score pulsating through that scene will always give me goosebumps every single time 🙌
