Guess Who's Coming to Dinner is a 1967 American comedy-drama film produced and directed by Stanley Kramer, and written by William Rose. It stars Spencer Tracy, Sidney Poitier, and Katharine Hepburn, and features Hepburn's niece Katharine Houghton.
The film was one of the few films of the time to depict an interracial marriage in a positive light, as interracial marriage historically had been illegal in most states of the USA. It was still illegal in 17 states—mostly Southern states—until June…

Talk about AWESOME. Been a long time since I saw a movie that gave you that "Good feeling" while watching it. The movie was made like the old days but with using today's tech. It was even filmed in "CinemaScope." CinemaScope is an anamorphic lens series used, from 1953 to 1967, and less often later, for shooting widescreen movies The colors were spectacular and the camera movement was superb. Ryan Gosling reminded me of a young Jimmy Stewart and Emma Stone reminded me of a young Lana Turner. Make sure you watch it in Blu-ray.

This is one of John Ford's lesser known pictures - an unknown masterpiece.
And with Henry Fonda and Ward Bond starring in it, you even have a cherry on top. Great film for this era.

This film is a classic. Clever wordplay plus slapstick comedy, social satire, and suspense. Released in 1944 (WWII) it must have provided some much needed laughter. The casting is superb, the screenplay is exceptional and the execution is amazing.
This is the quality that most comedies of today can only distantly approach. Cary Grant alone with his facial expressions makes this movie worth watching again and again.

Beat the drums for J. K. Simmons Best Supporting Actor Oscar, but add a cymbal crash for Whiplash itself. It's electrifying! Andrew Neiman's determined to become one of the greatest jazz drummers of all time. To get there he'll have to survive the teaching of a ruthless mentor. and oh my, that is a understatement!
Miles Teller's (Andrew) total investment in his performance means viewers are no longer just viewers, we are also witnesses, and it's this intensity that makes…

Licorice Pizza is among the funniest, warmest, most nostalgic films of 2021. Set in the California Valley in the early 1970's, Licorice Pizza almost has a feel of another classic coming of age movie only set 10 years earlier, in the early 1960's....American Graffiti. Only now California has Waterbeds, pinball machines, gas shortages, entrepreneurial frenzy happening.
Also like American Graffiti, Licorice Pizza has many newer actors like Cooper Hoffman and Alana Haim and her entire real family.
The characters work…
