Movies that try one continuous shot for the whole runtime usually turn out lacking but this is actually wild and pretty fun. It gets wacky, horrific and over the top, which are a few of my favorite things so was def pleasantly surprised. Plus, inventive takes on zombies are for sure appreciated.

Not them actually finally releasing a mostly good installment of V/H/S again. Hallelu and Happy October. The first segment was blah at the beginning but the creature effects at the end were on point and the rest of the entries were kind of batshit. That Justin Long Fur Babies one was everything I wanted and needed.

The nostalgia is very real with this. Kid me grew up on Winona and Tim Burton and this is a perfect companion piece to the original. I was laughing nonstop for the last 30 minutes. Best Tim Burton movie in a very long time.

Zoë Kravitz went so hard with this and I’m beyond impressed with her as a director. The film manages to keep the humor and sarcasm ever present even when it gets dark as fuck and not a lot of people can pull that type of thing off effectively.

Josh Hartnett getting eye-fucked by Kid Cudi will forever save my life. Probably Shyamalan’s funniest movie and Hartnett’s charisma is what makes it work because not many people can pull off that kind of performance.

I finally know what it’s like to have a religious experience. Batshit in the best way possible from beginning to end. Cronenberg would be proud because this takes body horror to a whole new level. Demi Moore is mother, maiden, and also crone in this movie and she further cements her legend status by giving the best most unexpected performance ever.

Sexy and demonic af. Stay away from people with a 666 birthmark on their person and also become best friends with them if possible because fun. Seriously though, this is the best Omen movie ever made. It's one of my least favorite horror franchises but if they keep releasing movies like this one, then it will be a fave. Nell Tiger Free is a horror legend in the making and I am here for her because she slayed so hard in that final act.

The middle part fooled me bc it crescendoed so well but then the final act popped up and I saw that ending coming from a mile away, which made it have barely any emotional resonance. Hopefully this is better on a rewatch bc currently it’s my least fave of Alex Garland’s.

Cutest Frankenstein cosplay ever. I watched the majority of Riverdale and Cole Sprouse has never been more adorable than when he was undead in this movie. Also was not expecting to want Carla Gugino to die in this movie so that was a well-earned treat. Diablo Cody always.

Bones and All if it was about sapphic bodybuilders instead of cannibal straights and I loved every second of it. So many unexpected moments in a movie that touches base with more than a few different genres. Love definitely hurts.
