Definitely not a new horror classic, not in the same league as Silence of the Lambs, don’t even mention it in the same breath. A decent chiller but it mixes two genres that just don’t belong together - serial killer and satanic horror. Cage, in his limited screen time, goes all out Cage. But otherwise this throws everything at the screen to see what sticks including relying on tired jump scares that were neither. I found myself rolling my eyes a few too many times. The cinematography, score and sound design were the best parts of an otherwise average thriller.
