Well that’s a wrap on Horroctober. It’s going to take a little getting used to my heart rate not accelerating on a daily basis though nothing I saw was that scary.
This year’s rewatch & franchise ranking was Friday the 13th. I’ve always thought I’d seen the whole franchise but now I’m convinced I haven’t or I was very young because I remembered nothing of 2-5. Part 4 just beat out my nostalgic part 7 for my #1 which surprised me as well as the remake actually being really good. Final ranking is here if you’d like to see.
Other notes
- Absolutely loved The Exorcist III so much so that I bought the director’s cut the next day to compare. I like it better but the theatrical is great too.
- I’m now a big fan of the Terrifier franchise though I’m in the minority in liking the first one better.
- Martyrs is one of the most disturbing films I’ve ever seen. I hated it.
