Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was the film that changed the way animation is put on screen and how the multiverse can become the next thing in superhero films. And with all the hype around this film and how great it looks which is true, the thing I can't get behind is the story.
It introduces so many characters, but only two have somewhat proper arc and that's Miles himself and Peter. Even Gwen has a very brief introduction and then she disappears until much later in the film. The other three characters look fun, but don't really bring anything, except for occasional jokes and fighting moments. The soundtrack is fine, but I am also not a big an of hip-hop and Daniel Pemberton's score has really great moments. It's just that if you take the animation away, it becomes another story about believing in yourself and saving the day.
