    Gave this forgotten little flick a re-watch. Sure, it's fairly generic, and is more of a psychological thriller than a horror film, but it's well-acted, competently directed, and fits in nicely with the mid-2000's 'young folks in danger' oeuvre. That said, listening to white ass Tyler Hoechlin educate everyone on 'voodoo' is too hysterical for words. Also, Shawn Ashmore was, is, and will always be a snack.

    A work of pure evil. Eggers takes what we know from the original film, mixes some Bram Stoker into his concoction, with a heavy dose of the occult. I am not sure what caused him to make Nosferatu look and sound the way he does, but it’s absolutely chilling. See it in the theater with the best sound imaginable, and it will absolutely rock your world. This might have surpassed THE WITCH for me. I’m just gonna say it – best version yet.
