The Nice Guys

The Nice Guys

“Do you by any chance know a girl named Amelia?”

Yep, this film still absolutely rules in every single bloody way you can imagine! It is just a purely entertaining and hilarious film. The two leads, Ryan Gosling & Russell Crowe, are complete and utter dynamite, it seems that both of these actors, quite clearly, have a nearly endless amount of range and an unmeasurable amount of talent. The supporting cast are all pretty great too and even the smaller supporting characters are incredibly well acted, even if they are smaller roles, every performance in this film is wonderful! Whenever people talk about this film, one incredible element that they never mention is the score...like holy shit! The score for this movie is absolutely brilliant and fits the backdrop of this film perfectly! I believe that the script for this film is, honestly, completely exceptional. It’s sharp, it’s hilarious, it’s complex, it’s smart, it’s just flat out brilliance from the minds of both Shane Black & Anthony Bagarozzi. It’s honestly such a phenomenal script and I do personally believe it to be one of the most well written (and definitely most snubbed) script in recent memory. The cinematography is also so f**king good too! It appears that 99% of films shot or set in Hollywood, or Los Angeles in general, tend to always have some incredible cinematography and this film is absolutely no exception. I think this film is just awesome! It’s hilarious, the performances are all great, the two leads are especially brilliant, the score is so unique and perfect for this movie and, once again, THAT F**KING SCRIPT! A film of exceptional quality in every category possible. A genuinely fun, hilarious and wild movie that I believe you simply can’t dislike, it’s bloody brilliant!
