a fun summer blockbuster that packs a few good punches with dazzling special effects and tremendous set pieces. as someone who was born and raised in oklahoma, i can honestly tell you that tornadoes are fucking horrifying, and twisters perfectly captures that hopeless, out of control terror. my fiancé is a storm chaser and twister is his all time favorite movie so he was foaming at the mouth to see this and it definitely did not disappoint either of us!

perfect, creepy atmosphere throughout the entire film, backed by tightly wound suspense and solid performances from maika monroe and nicolas cage. idek how to describe cage in this. he was an absolute lunatic. a maniac. he looked like glenn close and marilyn manson if they had become fused together during a toxic waste spill. so spooky. this was pretty great, definitely my kind of movie.
