I think this just might be my favorite Spider-Man film! This film does so well in conveying through many of its characters that you never stop becoming you and defining who you are going to be to yourself. There are so many struggles and uncertainties in just becoming you, to say nothing of all of the greater expectations you encounter as you mature and have to confront head on. Truly, amongst all of this certainty, at the end of the line it take a Leap of Faith. Which, although I truly love and appreciate how much this film is a love letter to Spider-Man, brimming with so many fun little background things and references I am nowhere close to catching all of, it is this interrogation of what the character is supposed to mean and really value that is my favorite aspect of this film. All of this is conveyed so well through a beautiful mix of excellent writing and a truly vibrant and distinct visual style. A true classic!
