September 26, 2022. Actually, Charlemagne was chasing a fly or moth or something. In addition to being polydactyl, with giant opposable thumbs, he also very agile on his hind legs. September 25, 2022. Fall flowers were out in the Reveler Conservation Area, where we went for a short walk today (couldn't do a lot after a late night return from football). My camera ran out of power after three photos, so I relied on my phone, which was a bit of a blunt instrument for this task. https://flic.kr/p/2nPt7Rw

September 24, 2022. This was the high point of an absolute dog of a football game (though the Argos played really well and their fans should be proud). 42 of the 45 points scored by the Argos were scored on RedBlacks turnovers, including (I think) five interceptions. The first two plays of the game the offense got its signals mixed up - this after two solid weeks of practice. Pretty clearly a coaching issue. September 17, 2022. Photo from my bike ride through Dunvegan on a beautiful; Saturday afternoon. I also made it through Maxville and Moose Creek, but didn't quite make it home - I had to walk the last 3 km because of flat tires. Still, a nice 73 km ride. https://flic.kr/p/2nNn2fW

September 11, 2022. The is the river along the Sentier Iroquois near Duhamel, Quebec. It's an area of rugged beauty. Andrea and I went for what turned out to be a strenuous 8 km hike up to the falls and back on a sweltering late summer day. A lot of work, but the scenery was worth it. https://flic.kr/p/2nLk8nM

September 10, 2022. We were at a rare Saturday afternoon RedBlacks game (I would really prefer more afternoon games). Yes it was another loss, but we came within about 5 yards of winning this one. The losses have been (mostly) close all season, as though we're just a grasp away from having a good season.
