Taking place between the 2nd and 4th volume of the main series, it first tells the tale from Dust's point of view during his party member exchange between Kazuma. After that, our protagonist cycles through various attempts of earning a lot of money quickly in order to live a frivolous life. He attempts to take a magic sword (from Mitsurugi and resell it, make Darkness fall for him, and aid the succubus shop when they're under investigation in exchange for free service. All these plans land him, however, is a week-long prison stay. After being released from prison, he finds out that his party members, due to being infuriated by Dust's antics, have replaced him with a new member as they set off for a quest, leaving him behind. While contemplating his actions, Dust discovers a dark plot that targets one of his party member, Lean. He sets off together with the loli succubus and a helmeted noble from earlier to put a stop to the scheme.
