Houston’s weather can be pretty finicky. Though it’s mostly hot and humid here, the city typically gets a reprieve at least once a year when the temperatures are pleasant and bearable, and residents might even feel a breeze. It’s an iconic time of year so deemed patio season.

During this time, few things beat sitting outside with snacks and a cocktail. Fortunately, Houston’s various restaurant patios offer a vibe for everyone, and Eater Houston keeps track of the best.

Find sweeping skyline views, a secret garden-inspired courtyard, and a no-frills hideaway with patio tables for downing beer and tacos. Here are 21 worthy destinations for dining and drinking al fresco.
