Kick the night off early with a violinist performance, a six-course tasting menu, and a welcome champagne toast from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at this standout Indian restaurant in the Woodlands, or opt for a later celebration to see in the New Year from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Reservations can be made on OpenTable for $100 per person.

Head to this entertainment venue for baseball-fueled fun for the whole family. Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette
Wine and dine at Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette’s River Oaks and Memorial locations, which will offer a special dinner from December 29 through New Year’s Eve. For $99 per person, enjoy a three-course dinner with a wine pairing with dishes like lobster bisque, roasted pear salads, lobster tail medallions or wagyu strip steaks, and a dark chocolate mousse with a glass of cabernet.
J-Bar-M Barbecue
Welcome 2023 with an afternoon whole hog party at J-Bar-M. The East Downtown barbecue joint will dish out whole hog barbecue sandwiches on pretzel buns, with sides like black-eyed peas, collard greens, and a Maui Wowie sausage link, plus two Lone Star beers. The event will be hosted from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., with a live performance by the Mighty Orq band. Only 100 tickets are available at $40 each, but some walk-ins will be available.

La Colombe d’Or hotel
Party in Montrose at this chic hotel with cocktails, horse d’oeuvres, cigars and scotch, and a live DJ for $195 per person. If you need dinner plans — chef Jesus ‘JB’ Babaran will offer the Tonight and Tomorrow dining experience featuring tableside showstoppers, like a Chateaubriand and crepe Suzette. Axelrad Beer Garden
This Midtown bar has always been a popular destination for drinks and socializing, and New Year’s Eve will be no different. Bring in the New Year with a backyard bash, with DJ sets and free champagne toast at midnight.
Tony's
This timeless Italian restaurant will offer two seatings at 5:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. for its four-course dinner (for $115 and $195, respectively) with fresh pasta and buttery seafood dishes like the pan-seared Dover sole, plus a live band and a complimentary toast and party favors at midnight. Caviar service and its foie gras cotton candy are optional.
Le Jardinier
You will be hard-pressed to find a more Michelin-worthy New Year’s Eve meal in town than Le Jardinier’s multi-course tasting menu. Chef Felipe Botero offers a four-course menu for its 5 p.m. seating that includes chestnut ricotta agnolotti and poached main lobster for $165, and a six-course menu at 7:30 p.m. that features dry-aged rib-eye and an AOP gruyere cheese souffle with shaved black truffles for $295 per person.
Eau Tour
Start with Eau Tour’s New Year’s Eve brunch ($85 per person) or kick off the evening with a celebratory three-course dinner. Cozy up with starters like oyster stew with caviar, citrus salad, or French onion soup, before moving on to dishes like ravioli au dauphine, poached flounder with butter beans, parsley soubise, and mussels, and a decadent ending of profiteroles, mini yule logs, or la galette du Rois.
