Choosing choice C leads to this mission and has Franklin meet Lester at his place after calling him. Franklin tells him how Haines wants Trevor killed and Weston wants Michael killed with him caught in the middle, as he can't feasibly kill both of them without the other finding out about it. They, at first, seem to not have any hope of thinking of a way where both Trevor and Michael survive. But after some brainstorming, Lester comes up with a plan to avoid having to kill either of them. The plan is to use their knowledge of Haines and Weston's personalities and motivations (Haines' FIB unit seeks redemption for their involvement during the shootout at the Kortz Center, so they participate in the raid; Merryweather being sent to recover the stolen gold simply out of pure greed on Weston's part) in order to lure the FIB and Merryweather into a trap at the foundry under the pretense of melting down the gold there from the Union Depositoryheist.
Showdown at the foundry[]
Franklin picks up Lamar Davis at his home and they go to the foundry, with Lamar having newfound respect for Franklin for doing this for both Trevor and Michael rather than himself (to which Franklin once again reminds him that, even though he's trying to establish himself in the criminal world, he's still smart enough to watch out for his friends). Lamar waits outside and keeps a lookout while Franklin goes inside to find Michael and Trevor arguing and about to kill each other—Michael with a Heavy Sniper and Trevor with a Combat MG- but Franklin threatens to kill them both off if they don't set their egos aside in order to deal with the problem at hand. Lamar then warns Franklin about the FIB agents approaching fast towards the foundry and their location, and Michael, Trevor, and Franklin work together to kill all of the FIB agents and Merryweather mercenaries sent against them in one swift ambush. Various stages of the ensuing battle require that the player provide backup to certain characters. First, Lamar will radio that he is being overrun and needs help. Franklin must get out to the foundry entrance where he dropped off Lamar and kill the FIB agents attacking Lamar before he is wasted. Then Michael, after not receiving a response from Trevor, must go over to where Trevor was positioned to check on him before being wasted, causing the mission to fail. Because Franklin says that he has to stay with Lamar, Michael leaves his sniping position and fights his way to reach Trevor who gets back up (supposedly being knocked out, and having not been shot possibly because the agents assumed they killed him, according to Trevor himself). Then, Michael and Trevor must fight their way out of the foundry and help Franklin kill off any remaining FIB and Merryweather forces in the area.
Tying up loose ends[]
Finally, after all of the agents and mercenaries are killed, the trio take a moment to catch their breaths. Franklin then brings up the fact that they still have work to do, namely picking off 'friends' who either betrayed or tried to kill the trio in the past. He then calls Lester for their whereabouts.
Trevor initially suggests killing Norton as well, most likely for killingBrad in North Yankton nine years prior, for being Haines' lackey, and, unbeknown to him, requesting Franklin kill him; however, Michael tells him that they need Norton alive as he can clear their names so no one comes after them later. In addition, as Norton was betrayed by both Haines and Sanchez, and Norton shifted the blame on Sanchez for the IAA incident after the latter's death, Haines' death will clear them all of the whole incident completely as Norton told Michael "History is written by the living."
Franklin nominates Wei Cheng, who had decided against working with Trevor and his drug manufacturing enterprise and worked instead with the O'Neil Brothers, all of whom except Elwood, Walton, and Wynn (who drove off to meet Cheng and his son Tao) were later killed at their ranch by Trevor, resulting in Elwood seeking revenge on Trevor by attempting to blow up Floyd's condo (where Trevor was residing) with anti-tank rockets, which attracted Franklin's attention (As Franklin and his dog Chop pursued them, Elwood, Walton, and Wynn were later killed following their own vengeance against Trevor). In retaliation for the O'Neils' murder, Cheng and his Triads had attempted to kill Trevor by holding Michael hostage, believing the two to be gay lovers, although Michael was saved by Franklin with the two killing all the witnesses during their escape (Trevor and Michael weren't on speaking terms due to Trevor discovering the truth behind Brad's fate in North Yankton during a botched robbery). Even if Tao lives, Tao's ineptitude as seen when dealing with Trevor would make it easy to avoid retribution from the Triads as both instances Trevor met Tao, he is seen completely intoxicated and unfit to be Wei's successor.
Trevor asks Franklin about Stretch, a long time imprisoned Chamberlain Gangster Families OG who had begun associating with a rival gang, the Ballas, while incarcerated in Bolingbroke Penitentiary and, after being released (and after Stretch ironically killedD due to D setting up Franklin and Lamar for a previous grievance), had attempted to get Franklin and Lamar killed by the Ballas by luring the pair into a trap on Grove Street (they were saved by Trevor, who had accompanied them). After Franklin refused to submit to his demands involving boosting cars for Devin, Stretch later used the situation to deceive Lamar in that they could buy weed from the Ballas at a Paleto Baysawmill but instead was an ambush for Lamar, who was in need of income after Devin cheated them on the pay for the cars; Franklin, Trevor, Michael and Lester, however, saved him. Franklin is initially surprised at Trevor for suggesting Stretch but agrees that he needs to be taken care of due to his actions making him a 'liability'.
Lester tells the group that Agent Haines is filming his television show on the Del Perro Pier; Trevor agrees to take Haines out as he hated him since the moment they met. Lester then locates Stretch, after Franklin tells him his real name is Harold Joseph, through his phone signal at the B.J. Smith Recreation Center, and Michael decides to take him out as he is unknown to him, which would throw suspicion away from Franklin. Lester then informs Franklin that Wei Cheng's son Tao used his credit card at the beach club in Pacific Bluffs; Franklin is unknown to the Triads, so he'd be the perfect candidate to take him out. Lester agrees to contact the three later via headset when he locates Weston. The three each split up, locate, and take out their targets, evading or wiping out the Ballas (Michael), the police (Trevor), and the Triads (Franklin) in the process. No matter when Trevor kills Haines, he will always be the one to kidnap Weston, regardless of when Michael or Franklin killed their targets.
Michael sets out to kill Stretch as revenge for betraying Franklin and Lamar by setting them up on two false drug deals and trying to have the pair killed by the Ballas on Grove Street and at the sawmill.
Trevor sets out to kill Haines as revenge for forcing the group to pulloffseveraldangerousjobsonhis behalf only to betray Michael and Dave and tried to have them killed. Trevor also declares that he has wanted to kill Haines since the moment he met him.
Once the above targets are eliminated, Trevor goes to Devin Weston's Mansion to kidnap him. This is revenge on Weston for cheating Trevor, Franklin, Lamar and Michael out of a lucrative payday after they give him the luxury/sport/antiquecars he wanted, trying to derail the filming of Meltdown and the premiere, trying to have Michael and his family killed by sending Merryweather mercenaries to Michael's house as payback for Molly'saccidental death. Before kidnapping Weston though, Trevor must fight his way through Merryweather security forces in order to kidnap the billionaire.
Before confronting their enemies[]
If the player turns to Trevor first, he will call Ron Jakowski and inform him that TP Industries are entering a transitional period and now have money coming through (The Big Score) and the Chinese problem might be taken care of. Ron comments that the O'Neil Brothers are gone and the Lost MC have made no contact with Trevor and everything will be OK, to which Trevor agrees before hanging up and heading for Haines.
If the player turns to Franklin at first or stays at him near Pacific Bluffs, he will call Lamar and tell him that he is his best friend and he is forever loyal to him for having his back during the mission. Lamar then asks Franklin if he is finished, to which Franklin states almost and he just has to handle a couple of loose ends first. Lamar then realizes the game plan and Franklin says goodbye by telling Lamar to lay low before hanging up and going after Cheng.
If the player turns to Michael, there will be no phone calls.
Take Out Stretch[]
Stretch can be found on a basketball court next to the BJ Smith Recreational Center with several Ballas gangbangers around. During the conversation, Stretch states that Lamar is disrespectful and trying to break the order of things. Michael comments to the others that he knows which one Stretch is, then gets out of his car and interrupts their chat. Stretch quickly realizes that Michael is friends with Franklin and orders the Ballas to kill him. However, some split up and Michael kills Stretch easily before either killing or escaping the Ballas and informing Franklin that his "pal" Stretch is dead and not a problem anymore, to which Franklin comments that Stretch was never "[his] pal."
Stretch is relatively easy to eliminate, as he and the Ballas are mostly packing pistols. Taking too long to escape, however, will make the surviving Ballas get in their cars and give chase to Michael, thus forcing him to take them all out. Stretch must be killed with a melee attack to get a gold medal.
Gold Medal Tip: After Franklin leaves the foundry, switch straight to Michael as he'll be about two blocks away. Stretch is the person carrying a basketball and is wearing the same clothes he wore in "The Long Stretch", without the baseball cap. Use the special ability and land an accurate hit on Stretch, and then while the ability is active, kill as many Ballas with a firearm and then when the ability ends, kill any gangsters left standing.
Weapon Required: Any melee weapon including fists. It's the best to use the Antique Cavalry Dagger or a Knife for a swift takedown, or the Hatchet/Hammer assuming that the player owns the Collector's edition. Alternately, simply park on the street and fire an RPG at the group, although this will bypass any dialogue between Michael and Stretch and negate the gold medal. It will not prevent other Ballas members from attacking.
Bring Down Haines[]
Agent Haines is found on the Ferris wheel on the boardwalk shooting footage for his new TV show. He and his cameraman are in one of the Ferris wheel's cars.
Trevor asks Lester to patch into Haines' microphone, since he wants a last reminder of what an "annoying prick" the agent is. Haines, meanwhile, is focusing on The Underbelly Of Paradise with some shots and good quotes. Trevor shoots the corrupt FIB agent dead. Once Trevor has killed Haines, he will have a two-star wanted level to evade. Once Trevor has lost the police, he informs Lester that Haines is dead and asks the whereabouts of Weston. Lester states that he has found him at his house in the Tongva Hills where Merryweather is guarding him. Lester begins to describe Weston's home, but Trevor ignores him and heads towards the mansion.
Approaching too close to the Ferris wheel or missing too many shots will alert Haines and fail the mission. Trevor must shoot the agent from a distance, for which a sniper rifle is required. After killing Haines, Trevor must then lose the cops before heading after Weston. Kill Haines with a headshot to get a gold medal.
Gold Medal Tip: Once Stretch is dead, switch to Trevor and he should be at the top of the pier. Stop near the Del Perro Police Station and use the truck to get onto the roof and aim at Haines (getting too close will trigger Trevor's message to Lester and the Ferris wheel will start moving). Since the wheel is not moving the player does not need to compensate for a moving target and can easily hit him in the head with a Sniper rifle, the Heavy Sniper works best.
Weapon Required: Heavy Sniper. If proficient with an RPG, it can also be used, though once again at the cost of a gold medal. If an RPG is used, a shorter cutscene would be played, showing an explosion at the car that contains Haines and the cameraman.
Get Rid Of Mr. Cheng[]
Killing Cheng is last. He is found surrounded by bodyguards, as well as his son Tao, in a motorcade of vehicles leaving the Pacific Bluffs Country Club. As soon as Franklin arrives or gets too close, Cheng discovers this and orders his men to drive off, which he does, but Franklin follows. Tao can be killed as well (though this is not canon) and if he dies before his father, the elder Cheng will react to his death very unpleasantly. Eventually, Franklin kills Cheng (in any way, and lose any attracted wanted level) and informs Trevor that the Triads are no more, to which Trevor replies that they are not going to have anyone to sell superweapons to but that it does not matter anyway.
As soon as Franklin arrives, Cheng and his bodyguards get into a black Washington, escorted by two Cavalcades. Franklin can tail the Cheng motorcade normally and can even go faster than them, until he rams or attacks a vehicle, then the Triads will start driving faster and shooting out of their vehicles. After killing Cheng, Franklin still has to outrun any surviving Triads in their Cavalcade, which is no easy task, since his bike is slow. Alternatively, Franklin can stop and dismount his motorbike, then eliminate the escorts on foot.
Alternatively, Franklin can target Cheng's car (pre-placed Sticky Bombs, a Minigun, or an RPG - though the sticky bomb is required for the gold medal), killing him before he leaves the parking lot, avoiding the trouble of having to chase down the fleeing convoy on the highway. Kill Cheng with a sticky bomb to get a gold medal. To obtain the gold medal achievement easily, prepare the sticky bombs while riding towards the club, trigger Franklin's special ability as soon as the convoy is in sight and aim one sticky bomb per vehicle (the slow motion will increase the player's accuracy and allow better targeting). Detonate them and they should not survive the blast.
Gold Medal Tip: Quickly throw a sticky bomb at the Washington and detonate as soon as it hits. Then quickly dispose of the Cavalcades.
Only throw a sticky bomb at the Washington while Franklin's ability is active and detonate as soon as it lands. This will kill all Triad members and destroy the vehicles. However, this must be done before they start to drive.
Trevor must make his way through a squad of eight Merryweather guards patrolling the house to get to Weston. He can either take a subtle approach by sneaking around and knocking out the guards (or killing them with a suppressed weapon), or he can take a direct route and attack the guards head on. After Trevor makes his way through the Merryweather security forces, he finds Weston hiding in a trunk near the pool. Trevor punches and knocks him unconscious and carries him to his Tornado in the driveway. Trevor throws Weston in the trunk, closes it, and drives the car to meet up with Franklin and Michael.
Gold Medal Tip: Do not be concerned about a stealthy attack due to the time objective, quickly run into the garden, use a fast weapon like the Carbine Rifle and use the lower walkway as cover. Use the hill to quickly get down the GOH. Drive cautiously when passing Hookies as there may be several bikers that will shoot at the car. Shooting back results in a wanted level and not shooting may kill Trevor or Weston, failing the mission.
Weapon required: Any silenced weapon, or any powerful ballistic weapon like the minigun.
Taking Weston to an unknown location to organize his death[]
As Trevor drives out of Weston's driveway, he informs Franklin and Michael that he has the billionaire and suggests they meet at a cliff at the Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness to "make him disappear." During the drive, Weston regains consciousness to find himself in the trunk. Realizing what Trevor is doing, Weston attempts using flattery and bribes to bargain for his life, offering Trevor anything his immense wealth can acquire if he joins his private army. Trevor tells Weston that he does not care about bribes; he just wants to kill him. The billionaire then attempts to bribe Trevor with money when he learns about his own successful business company, but Trevor informs him that he is "kind of gold rich" and tells Weston that he has nothing to offer. Trevor then tells Weston that he has nothing left in life and should prepare for his death. Weston then summons the last of his will and tries threats, despite only having minutes left to live, all of which fall on deaf ears. Trevor arrives at the cliff and informs Weston that they have enough time left for some (off-screen) "one-on-one time".
Killing Devin Weston[]
“You know, Devin, the way I see it, and hey, I'm no intelligent businessman like you, but the way I see it, there's two great evils that bedevil American capitalism of the type that you practice. Number one is outsourcing. You paid a private company to do your dirty work for ya, and then you underpaid that company because you thought you were big enough and bad enough that you didn't have to play by the rules. Oh, number two. Off-shoring your profits. But we know your opinions on the matter Devin. Keep your problems the fuck out of America, huh? Hey, Devin... Goodbye my old friend. Thanks for all the advice.”
At around 20:00, Michael arrives and asks Trevor if they are "good," with Trevor happily agreeing, having come to terms with Michael's betrayal. Michael lights up a cigarette, but thinks better of it and throws it off the cliff. Franklin then arrives before Trevor opens the trunk of the Tornado to reveal a badly bleeding, half-naked, tied up, and gagged Weston. Franklin taunts the billionaire about his choice of ending, ("Hey, my bad, homie. I picked C. Ain't that a bitch?"). Michael taunts Weston about the "two great evils" of American capitalism that he has performed: betraying everyone he has ever worked with, including them, all the major antagonists, Don Percival, and his own company (outsourcing) because, in Michael's words, Weston thought he was "big enough and bad enough" to not play by the rules, and walk offshore alone as a free man (offshoring). Michael states that neither he, Franklin or Trevor would ever do such a thing, and declares that Weston "keep [his] problems the fuck out of America." Michael, Trevor, and Franklin mockingly bid Weston farewell and "thank" him for all of his advice before Michael closes the trunk. The three protagonists push the Tornado with Weston in the trunk off a cliff and into the ocean below. The car then explodes shortly after impact with the shallow seabed, destroying both Weston and the car.
Ending C[]
“I'll tell ya one thing T, I'm gettin' too old for this nonsense.”
— Michael's announcement of his retirement to Trevor, also the final line in the main game's storyline.
With Weston's death, the trio's loose ends have all been tied up. Trevor asks what they do now, with Michael responding that they are going to lay low for a while then get on with their lives. Trevor suggests they do so as friends, and Michael, knowing Trevor will never leave him alone, agrees, as "flawed, awful, totally uncomfortable, and poorly matched friends."
Trevor then states that they could then go back to the "capitalism they practice," planning even more heists with better funding, but Franklin wonders how their actions will be any better than Weston's. Michael jokes that hypocrisy is civilization's finest virtue. Trevor then tells Michael that his therapist has a lot to answer to for, which Michael calmly agrees to, saying that, even though he still hates himself, he now knows how to say it; Trevor's response is to ask if he does not need therapy because he already knows how to say he hates Michael. Sensing another argument, Franklin backs away from the two and towards his bike, telling them that they terrify him of middle age, which Michael jokingly tells him he should be afraid of it. Michael walks back towards his car, but not before announcing his official retirement to Trevor, declaring he is "getting too old for this nonsense". Franklin and Michael drive off as Trevor looks on, before he awkwardly walks off-screen as the credits roll. After the credits, the player gains control of Trevor, just as he arrives home in Sandy Shores. Entering the trailer triggers the post-game mission Mrs. Philips.
Deaths[]
Many Merryweather and FIB members - Killed by Michael, Trevor, Franklin and Lamar. (And each other, according to Michael.)
Stretch - Killed by Michael for betraying Franklin and Lamar by selling them out to the Ballas.
Steve Haines - Killed by Trevor for betraying Michael at the Kortz Center and trying to have Trevor killed and Michael and Dave arrested.
Devin Weston's Merryweather bodyguards - Killed by Trevor for trying to stop him from kidnapping Weston.
Devin Weston - Killed by Michael, Trevor, and Franklin for betraying Trevor, Franklin, and Lamar by cheating them out of a payday for the car thefts, attempting to derail the filming of Meltdown, as well as attempting to have Michael and his family killed.
Optional Deaths[]
Several Ballas members - Can be killed by Michael for getting in his way of killing Stretch.
Several Los Santos Police Department Officers - Can be killed by Trevor after he kills Haines. (This is not recommended however, as it will increase Trevor's wanted level and make it more difficult to escape.)
Several Triad members - Can be killed by Franklin for getting in his way of killing Wei Cheng.
Tao Cheng - (Non-canon) Can be killed by Franklin alongside his father, Wei Cheng. He will canonically survive, as he is later depicted to still be alive in 2019.
Unnamed cameraman - Can be killed by Trevor along with Steve Haines on the Ferris Wheel if an RPG or a lined up Sniper Rifle is used.

Gold Medal Objectives[]
Time - Complete within 21:30.
Skip the cutscene to save time.
A stealthy approach is not required during Trevor's visit to Weston's mansion. Simply take out the guards along the way and get to the objective.
When the trio are killing the antagonists, let Michael kill first, then Trevor, then Franklin.
If Trevor is the last to kill Haines, then he will need to drive all the way to Weston's mansion after evading the two-star wanted level, which could cost time if trying to achieve this gold medal.
Headshots - Kill 20 enemies with a headshot.
It's advised to use Shotgun or Pistol to achieve this, Michael's ability helps.
Accuracy - Finish with a shooting accuracy of at least 70%.
Do the non-headshots with low damage weapon, or Shotgun, again, Michael's ability helps.
Also, enable auto-aim for better accuracy
Stick, Tick... Boom! - Kill Cheng with a Sticky Bomb.
Use Franklin's Special Ability to throw the Sticky Bomb.
It's advised to only use one, and throw to second vehicle, as another two will explode and all enemies will die, saving time to achieve Time Gold Medal Objective.
Lead Lobotomy - Kill Steve Haines with a headshot.
Easy to achieve. Just use the Heavy Sniper to shoot him.
If the player wants to save time as well as increased accuracy, stop at the bridge, jump to the trunk and shoot Haines, as the Ferris Wheel will not move unless the player triggers the cutscene.
Lester, dog. Man, we need to talk. I got a problem I need your help with. (sigh) Man, actually, fuck it. Man, we all got a problem you can help us with.
What the fuck do you think? Man, imagine the fuckin' scenario that will fuck things up the worst.
Lester:
Boy, my mind is just racing. But, you know, I don't want to say something that's really exciting and then you have to act all deflated and say, "No, no, it's just that somebody got the same tattoo I got." So... why don't you just go ahead and tell me?
Franklin:
Some motherfucker wants me to kill Michael. Some other motherfucker wants me to kill Trevor. I feel I can't kill both of 'em. Man, I'm fucked, man. I don't know what the fuck to do right now. Damn...
Lester:
Well, I can see that. Who are the motherfuckers?
Franklin:
Steve Haines, this angry motherfucker from the FIB, and Devin Weston, man. You know, that old, the uh...
Lester:
Oh, that angry rich fucker from whatever hole he hibernates in.
Franklin:
Exactly.
Lester:
Alright, alright, I say... kill Michael, then kill Trevor.
Franklin:
Man, are you for real?
Lester:
You're fucked! You know, I-I-I don't know!
Franklin:
You know everything, dog.
Lester:
I know, okay?! But I-I'm sorry, I guess this is it, y'know? I'm doing my best, man. I don't know how you can deal with both of them.
Franklin:
I know, man.
Lester:
Shit. We're fucked! Every single one of us is fucked. Unless... okay, Steve Haines is under a lot of heat because of the shootings at Kortz Center, and Devin Weston's, A. Known to be a major asshole; and B. Known to be friendly with Don Percival, who runs Merryweather. I think, actually, Weston owns a piece of Merryweather. Right, 11%, pretty good for a pseudo-liberal owning a private army. So... they would both love to be involved in capturing the bullion that we just lifted. If I tell them both that you boys are at the foundry in Murrieta Heights melting it down, then maybe, maybe both of them will pay you a visit and bam! We turn it into a... a bust!
Franklin:
I ain't got no better ideas.
Lester:
Alright. I'm gonna get in touch with Michael and Trevor, you go to the foundry and get yourself set up.
Hey, look, hear me out, man. If it's too heavy for you, you can back out, no drama.
Lamar:
Hit me with it.
Franklin:
Man, we got a real problem, dog. My boys, man, well, we trying to save them.
Lamar:
You actually doing something for your homies for a change? Hell yeah, I'm in. Who wanna clap your homies?
Franklin:
Who don't, ni**a? These Chinese dudes, some FIB cats, the rich white asshole who scammed us on them cars...
Lamar:
Devin Weston? That punk bitch?! Why didn't you say we was creepin' on him?
Franklin:
We ain't creeping on him, ni**a. Least I don't think he goin' be there. We got to take all the heat he can throw at us before we worry 'bout how we coming back on his ass.
Lamar:
But you is coming back, right?
Franklin:
Oh, hell yeah, we creeping on that fool.
Lamar:
Oh, so you ain't the mercurial motherfucker you fronting as, huh?
Franklin:
Man, I'm just trying to make something out of myself, dog. That don't change who my homies are, ni**a. It don't change my family.
Lamar:
Shit, ni**a, you getting me all emotional now, ni**a, might have to stop me from sucking your dick, ni**a.
Franklin:
Oh, please, ni**a, fuck off.
Lamar:
Man, every fool in this town got somebody who want 'em clapped.
Franklin:
Yeah, but that applies to some fools more than others.
Lamar:
I heard that.
Franklin:
Ni**a, I'm talking about you. Everybody in this town wanna take a pop at your ass.
Lamar:
Ni**as lining up, camping and shit, trying to take a shot at the big chief.
Franklin:
Ain't that the truth? But ain't nobody pissed off as many motherfuckers as Michael and Trevor, dog.
Lamar:
Shit, ni**a, you play big, you stand to lose...
Franklin:
Yeah, ain't that the truth?
Franklin and Lamar arrive at the foundry.
Franklin:
Look, man, Michael and Trevor, they should be inside. Can you stay out here and let us know when the bad dudes is coming?
Lamar:
I got it, man. I'll holla at you.
Franklin goes inside the foundry, and hears Michael and Trevor arguing.
Trevor:
This could be it - our showdown with a private army, and you're bringing a rifle?
Michael:
Yeah, I'm bringing a rifle. It's a good gun, it'll get the job done.
Trevor:
That gun - it makes me think this is a setup.
Michael:
It is a setup, we're setting up Merryweather and the FIB, making them think the metal's here.
Trevor:
A setup for me. It's a weird gun and it's making me nervous. Put it down.
Michael:
It's a good gun, and you asking me to put it down is making me nervous.
Trevor:
Hey, I ain't the guy with a past history of giving up his friends.
Michael:
You let the Chinese take me, didn't you?! You might be about to pull that again with Merryweather, for all I know.
Trevor:
I was in an emotional state. I can't be blamed for my actions in Ludendorff.
Michael:
Oh, well can I blame you for every day you didn't come and get me after that? I ain't putting my gun away.
Franklin approaches Michael and Trevor.
Franklin:
Hey, man, what the fuck am I doin' risking my ass to save y'all ass if you're just gonna kill each other?!
Michael:
Hey, you're not saving me! You're saving him!
Trevor:
Ah, you're saving this fat fuck!
Franklin:
Man, y'all gotta keep your fuckin' heads right and end this shit. If not, man, I'll put bullets in both you motherfuckers.
Franklin gets a phone call from Lamar.
Franklin:
Hey, they here?
Lamar (Voice only):
I know 'em when I see 'em, homie. They creepin'.
Franklin:
Alright, good.
Franklin hangs up.
Franklin:
Y'all hear that? Now, if we doin' this shit, man, it's either now or never.
Michael:
Come on, Trevor...
Trevor:
Fuck it! (groans) Where do you want me?
Franklin:
Alright, man, you go over there.
Michael:
Alright, where do you want me?
Franklin:
You hold your position right here.
Michael:
Okay.
Franklin:
I'm gonna go over there.
Franklin, Michael and Trevor take their positions as the FIB tactical team enters the foundry.
Up on the catwalk - I think Merryweather are here!
Trevor:
Merryweather coming out the door next to me! I got the drop on them. Thanks for coming, you pricks! Another attack!
Michael:
The FIB and Merryweather are doing us a favor - taking each other out.
The trio keeps attacking FIB and Merryweather forces.
Lamar (Voice only):
Eh, eh... I think they see me, my ni**a. They goin' run up on me.
Michael:
We got this. Go help your friend.
Franklin:
*Alright, alright. I'm coming, dog. *I'll come at you any second!
Franklin heads outside to help Lamar.
Lamar (Voice only):
*I need some help, man, quick! *SOS, ni**a, SOS! *I need some help like, right now, homie.
Franklin:
*Hold tight, man - I'm on my way! *Hold tight, dog. Please, hold tight.
Franklin helps Lamar deal with the FIB and Merryweather.
Franklin:
Eh, these punks causing trouble? It wouldn't be right if I didn't have to save your ass just once.
Lamar:
Save me? Ni**a, I just wanted some company.
Michael (Voice only):
T. T, come in. Frank, I think T's in trouble. There's an FIB team where I last saw him, and he ain't responding.
Franklin:
Man, I got to stay out here with Lamar. Can you get to him?
Michael (Voice only):
Shit.
Michael goes to help Trevor.
Michael:
Fine, I'll try and find him.
Michael on his way to Trevor.
Michael:
*Trevor, stop being a prick! *Say something, Trevor! *What's the problem, T? *Talk to me, T!
Franklin:
*It's getting heavy out here, dudes! *It's war zone, homies! *They keep on coming up here! *T, M, there's some serious shit going on down here where I'm at!
Michael finds Trevor.
Michael:
*There you are. Man, you had me worried. *There you are, you dick! What was your problem?
Trevor:
I was a little winded, alright? I took a TO. It's nice to see you so worked up.
Michael:
*Yeah, well don't do it again. *Next time I will leave you to it.
Michael:
Are we clear?
Trevor:
Yeah, all clear. Frank, we're clear inside, moving to the exits.
Michael and Trevor go outside to help Franklin deal with more FIB and Merryweather units.
Michael:
This is a shit show!
Trevor:
We keep putting them down until they stop pulling up!
Franklin, Michael and Trevor kill the remaining FIB and Merryweather units.
Franklin:
(if playing as Michael) Eh, that could be all of 'em - look, let's regroup by that big loading bay.
Michael:
(if playing as Trevor) We're looking okay - let's regroup at the main set of doors.
Trevor:
(if playing as Franklin) That just might be it - let's regroup outside that big yellow door.
Franklin, Michael and Trevor regroup by the loading bay.
Michael:
(cough; sigh) Looks like we did it.
Franklin:
Shit, for now.
Michael:
Yeah, exactly. For now.
Trevor:
So, what's next, huh? Are we just gonna wait around 'till someone else comes to kill us? Or, are we gonna wait 'till this fucker gets turned again?
Michael:
Oh, bite me. Ain't anybody getting turned again, and you know it.
Franklin:
Hey, man, the way I see it, we only just begun to clean this shit up. We got a lot of old friends I think need to be re-educated.
Trevor:
A lot of friends! I mean, things could get really messy.
Michael:
Nah, we just gotta silence a lot of noisy people.
Trevor:
Well, let me see, there's uh...
Michael:
Steve Haines.
Trevor:
Dave Norton.
Michael:
No, we need him alive.
Trevor:
Why?
Michael:
So nobody fucks with us afterwards.
Franklin:
What about that Triad motherfucker, the one that thinks you two boys is datin'? Shit, you know he bound to come back.
Michael:
Yep, there's that.
Trevor:
Well, who's the uh... the guy who set up Lamar? Hmm?
Franklin:
Stretch? We wanna throw him in?
Michael:
Yeah, Trevor will throw anyone in just to satisfy his bloodlust.
Trevor:
Whoa, hey! It's called a fuckin' loose end, alright? Now, if we're gonna be men of peace and tranquility, we tie up loose ends.
Franklin:
(sigh) Man, Stretch has been a liability.
Michael:
But then we're gonna have to take care of our old pals Devin Weston and Steve Haines.
Franklin:
Oh, fuck, what a mess, man.
Michael:
Well, let's get it cleaned up. How about you get Lester on the line?
Franklin phones Lester.
Lester (Voice only):
Who is this? Stop calling this number!
Franklin:
Hey, it's me, dog.
Lester (Voice only):
Ha, you're alive! I thought someone might have your phone.
Franklin:
No, no, but look, I got you on speakerphone.
Lester (Voice only):
Oh, did Mike make it?
Michael:
Yeah, I'm here.
Lester (Voice only):
And the other one?
Trevor:
Grrr, I'll see you put in the ground, Wheels!
Lester (Voice only):
Uh-huh. You erm, just calling for a chat?
Michael:
No, we got some work to do. Can you get us some whereabouts?
NOTE: The following dialogue will play if the player sticks to Franklin or Trevor for their first target.
Michael (Voice only):
Alright, we've made our plans, let's stick to them. We take out our assigned targets, any deviation will lead to confusion, and probably failure. We got one shot at this, guys.
Franklin:
(if playing as Franklin) A'ight, let's do this shit.
Trevor:
(if playing as Trevor) I got the best ones, so I ain't taking anyone else's.
If playing as Franklin, he will call Lamar.
Franklin:
Eh, Lamar. That was above and beyond, homie.
Lamar (Voice only):
Ain't nothing above and beyond when it comes to the homies, homie. Heh, a ni**a just wanna be helpful, you heard me?
Franklin:
I'm serious, dog. That's hood. Michael and Trevor too, we grateful. You a real homie and I love you, dog.
Lamar (Voice only):
You too, homie. You done with this bullshit now?
Franklin:
Almost. A couple of loose ends.
Lamar (Voice only):
Oh shit, I know that voice. You creeping on some fools, huh? Alright, ni**a, well handle yo' candle.
I think that Chinese problem might be taken care of, and there's money in the bank.
Ron (Voice only):
Well, the O'Neils are gone, and the bikers ain't showed up again. So, we're rich, and at peace. Long as the forces of corporate darkness don't identify us as a threat, there's nothing to hold us back.
Lamar Davis. Disrespectful ass motherfucker's trying to break the order of things. Please. Pair of bitches. Only pair of bitches the Stretch tolerate, are the ones that worked his pole last night.
Ballas Member:
Man, that's bullshit.
Stretch:
You want to see? I'll show you right here, n***a, watch.
Michael:
Alright, I'm at the courts, I think I know which one Stretch is.
Michael confronts Stretch and the Ballas.
Michael:
*Hey! Lamar and Franklin send their best. *I got a message from your homies, Lamar and Franklin.
Stretch:
*Hey, who this shakey white dude? Hey, where the fuck y'all goin? *Who's this peckerwood? *Homies! Where the fuck y'all goin?
Ballas Member:
*Hey, that's yo' problem, my n***a. My bad. *Hey, man, that's yo' motherfucking problem. He ain't fucking with me, ni**a. I'm out.
Stretch:
*You one of them old dudes hangs with Franklin. Oh, okay, I get it. *You disloyal motherfuckers! *Oh, shit, you one of Franklin's old-ass homies!
Michael kills Stretch and deals with the remaining Ballas members, either by escaping them or killing them.
Michael:
I'm clear! Your pal Stretch - he ain't a problem no more, Frank.
Franklin (Voice only):
Shit, he wasn't my pal, he was a dude who ganked us, homie. Thanks.
Trevor arrives at Del Perro Pier, Steve Haines' last confirmed location.
Trevor:
I'm moving on Haines. Lest, see if you can patch me into his radio mike, I want a last reminder of what an annoying prick he is.
Los Santos. A city of saints, a city of sinners and nothing in between but the FIB. Cut! God, this is crap.
Cameraman:
Who writes this bullshit, anyway?
Steve:
Okay, alright. You got this framed right?
Cameraman:
Yeah, you're looking great.
Steve:
Is the chin? How's the chin?
Cameraman:
Oh, sharp.
Steve:
Alright, the audio's clean?
Cameraman:
Nice, well say something.
Steve:
Uh, check, check, check.
Cameraman:
Yeah, it's great.
Steve:
Okay, fine, we're on. I'm ready. You ready?
Cameraman:
Speed.
Steve:
Alright, let's do this, people. I'm a professional, let's go. (clears throat) Hi, I'm Steve Haines. Hi, I'm...
If Trevor eavesdrops on Steve Haines...
Steve:
This is Los Santos. A city of celluoid, a city of scumbags. The last great American melting pot. Two parts deluded fantasy, one part degenerate reality. Mix, and this is the result. Throw in a senior FIB agent and you've got a unique look of what's really going on under the hood. This is a land of dreams. But sometimes those dreams turn into nightmares, and... Stop! Cut!
Cameraman:
Cut.
Steve:
Oh, God. That's a cliché, man. Dreams, dreams... that's a cliché. (over the earpiece) What? No, I know it's really good. Just do a cutaway. Nah, I'll pick it up. Nah, I'll pick it up, I got something good. (to cameraman) Ready?
Cameraman:
We're rolling.
Steve:
I'm Steve Haines, I'm Steve Haines... Throw in a senior FIB agent and you've got a unique look at what happens when dreams and reality collide. Hi, I'm Steve Haines. I've tracked down killers, attacked incompetence and taken down terrorist cells, and tonight... I'm in your living room. Boom! Got it.
Cameraman:
That was strong. That was really strong.
Steve:
Cool, let's do it, let's go home. Whew! Where's that girl, man? Where's that hot little girl with the clipboard?
Cameraman:
I just saw her down there somewhere.
Steve:
What? Hold on...(over the earpiece) I don't care that she's an intern. (chuckles) Now, just get this thing goin', alright? I wanna get out of here. Boom! Vinewood...
Trevor kills Steve Haines. NOTE: The following dialogue will play if the cameraman was spared.
Cameraman:
My God! The guy, what's-his-name, they shot him! Jesus fucking Christ!
(in Chinese) Enough talk. I will take care of this private business in a private place.
Franklin:
Hey, the old man's here, he's leaving the beach club, Imma do it now.
Franklin kills Wei and his bodyguards.
Franklin:
Hey, I got out clean - you dudes ain't goin' have no more Triads coming after you.
Trevor (Voice only):
We ain't gonna have anyone to sell superweapons to either, but hey ho.
The following lines depend on the order of the targets killed.
Michael (Voice only):
Who's next?
Franklin (Voice only):
So, who we got, man?
Trevor (Voice only):
Who's up?
Franklin (Voice only):
(if Wei Cheng is still alive) Hey the boy, Cheng. Don't worry, I'm on him.
Michael (Voice only):
(if Stretch and Steve Haines are still alive) We still got to do Stretch and Agent Haines. (if Stretch and Wei Cheng are still alive) Stretch and Wei Cheng are still in play. (if Stretch is still alive) Harold "Stretch" Joseph still outstanding. I'm taking care of him.
Trevor (Voice only):
(if Steve Haines and Wei Cheng are still alive) We got Wei Cheng and Agent Haines on the list. (if Steve Haines is still alive) What happens next is plant Steve Haines in the dirt. (if all three targets are dead) I'm picking up Devin Weston, so we can have some fun with him. Now don't worry, I won't get started 'till we're all together, not properly, at least.
After all three targets are killed, Trevor heads to Devin Weston's mansion in Tongva Hills, which is filled with Merryweather guards.
Devin:
Hey, unless you've got news from the foundry team, I don't wanna be disturbed.
Trevor goes into the yard of Devin's mansion, either going in quietly or guns blazing. Either way, Trevor takes care of the guards before going to get Devin...
Devin:
That's Trevor Philips, you idiots!
...whom he finds hiding in a trunk...
Devin:
What do you mean all our operatives are dead? I need a chopper right here, right now! Tell Don Percival to fuck himself. You want me to jack up interest in a business loan? Get a team to my place, stat. Pull 'em out of the Congo Wind operations in the Middle East. I don't care.
...and pulls him out.
Devin:
Wait, wait, hear me out!
Trevor punches Devin.
Trevor:
No more talkie!
Trevor carries an unconscious Devin and puts him in the trunk of a black Tornado. Trevor then gets into the Tornado and drives off.
Trevor:
I got Mr. Weston. Let's take him out of the city, make him disappear. Meet me on the cliffs off the GOH, Chiliad Mountain State Wilderness.
*Whoa whoa whoa, what's going on? Where am I? *Uhh! Where am I? What's happening? You know, you're a-you're a resourceful guy, getting past those trained killers. I need someone like you in my organization.
Trevor:
The CEO position's going to be vacant real soon, Slick.
Devin:
I got nothing against you, apart from the obvious hygiene issues. Michael caused me problems, so Michael had to go.
Trevor:
You're looking at it rationally - there are people who are useful to you, and people who ain't, and the people who ain't got to go. Me, I'm not rational. I don't care if you're useful or not. I feel like taking you out, Devo, so that's what I'm doing.
Devin:
This is a serious offer! Work for me, you'll have everything you've ever wanted.
Trevor:
All I've ever wanted is to watch you drift in and out of consciousness as you're slowly disemboweled.
Devin:
Yes! Yes! That's the kind of creativity I need on my team. Come on, come on, let me out of here.
Trevor:
Look, I got my own company - Trevor Phillips Industries...
Devin:
Oh yeah, a-a-a-a fellow entrepreneur. Uh, let me buy a stake, uh, give you money to grow!
Trevor:
I dunno if you heard, but I'm kinda gold rich right now, so you got precisely nothing to offer. Prepare for the end, my friend.
Devin:
*Philips! *You creepy bum! *You're dead! *Screw you! *I'm going to get you! *You're over!
Devin:
*You're fucked. Fucked! *You - you don't know what you're getting into, pal! *Let me out of this trunk! *Name your price! *You don't want me as an enemy! *Hey, let me out! *You're making a mistake! *I got an army at my fingertips! *Take the money! Let me go! *Slick! *You're a dead man! *Argh! *You don't want the fat man around either! *Whoa! *Stop right now! *Slow down, Slick! Think about this! *Lemme out! Lemme out!
Trevor:
*Find a happy place, you zen cock! *This is why the people I put in my trunk are usually dead. *My friends won't be happy if I empty a clip into the trunk. *Pipe down. *I told them I wouldn't kill you, I didn't say anything about cutting your tongue out. *Go meditate, you phoney prick! *This is why people want to kill you - you won't shut up!
Trevor arrives at the rendezvous point.
Trevor:
Here we are, Slick, with a few minutes for some one-on-one time.
Time passes to sunset. Trevor is waiting for others to arrive at the rendezvous point, with Michael being the first to arrive.
Michael:
Hey! We good, T?
Trevor:
Never better, amigo.
Michael:
Ah, good.
Trevor:
Franklin?
Michael:
Ah, he'll be here.
Michael lights up a cigarette and smokes for a bit.
Michael:
(coughs) Ah.
Michael throws the cigarette into the ocean. Franklin soon arrives on his Bagger.
Michael:
Franklin!
Franklin:
Hey, what's up?
Michael:
I assume you got him?
Trevor opens the trunk to reveal Devin Weston bound and gagged.
Trevor:
Safe and sound! Ain't that right, buddy?
Michael:
(not in subtitles) Whoa!
Franklin:
Hey, my bad, homie. I picked C, ain't that a bitch?
Michael:
You know, Devin, the way I see it, and hey, I'm no intelligent businessman like you, but the way I see it, there's two great evils that bedevil American capitalism of the type that you practice. Number one is outsourcing. You paid a private company to do your dirty work for ya, and then you underpaid that company because you thought you were big enough and bad enough that you didn't have to play by the rules. Oh, number two: offshoring your profits.
Trevor:
Offshoring?
Michael:
Oh, it's horrible. You wouldn't want to be sent offshore just to save a little money, would you, T?
Trevor:
Oh no, I wouldn't.
Michael:
Franklin? Would you wanna?
Franklin:
Oh, nah, I ain't goin' nowhere.
Michael:
No, see, but we know your opinions on the matter, Devin. Keep your problems the fuck out of America, huh? (chuckles)
Trevor:
In this instance, when he puts it like that, it makes sense.
Michael:
Course it does. Hey, Devin... Goodbye, my old friend. Thanks for all the advice.
Michael closes the car's trunk.
Franklin:
Bye bye.
Michael, Franklin and Trevor push Devin's Tornado into the ocean, where it hits some rocks, and then explodes after a few seconds.
Trevor:
So now what?
Michael:
(sigh) Now we keep a low profile and get on with our lives.
Trevor:
As friends.
Michael:
What, do I have a choice?
Trevor:
Nah, not really.
Michael:
Alright, then. As uh... flawed, awful, totally uncomfortable and poorly matched friends. Absolutely.
Trevor:
Well, that's perfect. Then we can get back to the kind of capitalism we practice.
Franklin:
Shit, I don't know how much more better that is than Devin's kind.
I know, I still hate myself... but hey, at least I know the words for it now.
Trevor:
Yeah, but I hate you and I know the words for it. So does that mean I don't have to go to therapy?
Franklin:
Look, man. You two motherfuckers terrify me of that middle age. I'm good.
Michael:
You're right to be afraid, Franklin.
Franklin:
Yeah.
Michael:
Be very afraid, Franklin!
Franklin gets on his bike and rides away.
Michael:
I'll tell you one thing, T. I'm getting too old for this nonsense.
Michael gets into his car and drives away, leaving Trevor alone, who soon walks away. Cue end credits.
Aftermath[]
Upon completion of this mission, with the theft of four tons of gold bullion wreaking havoc on financial markets, the value of Augury Insurance will rise by an approximate 101.49%.
Cluckin' Bell stock will rebound from its low in the wake of The Paleto Score, resulting in an approximate 66.89% return on investment.
Gruppe Sechs stock will increase in value by approximately 10.8%.
Weazel News (Radio)[]
"Celebrity FIB agent shot while shooting TV show. Devin Weston disappears after shootout in Chumash. Gangster shot in Chamberlain Hills shootout. A prominent Chinese gang boss murdered. Merryweather to shut down domestic operations? Popular TV host and FIB agent Steve Haines was killed yesterday while shooting a segment of his show on the Del Perro Pier in a crime police are calling "suspicious". Meanwhile, a violent incident at billionaire investor Devin Weston's hillside mansion in Chumash left several security guards dead and Mr. Weston himself disappeared. Police are unsure exactly what happened. In further violence, prominent gangster Harold "OG Stretch" Joseph and Wei Cheng, a triad gang boss were both also murdered. Residents say they are in shock. In devastating private warfare news, Merryweather has announced that it is shutting down domestic operations to focus on contracts overseas. A bloodbath at a foundry in East Los Santos is the latest in a long line of PR disasters for the private security company during its short-lived U.S. expansion plans."
"In a sad day for national security, private security company Merryweather has announced that it has shut down its domestic operations indefinitely following another high-profile incident, this time a shootout at a foundry in East Los Santos. Merryweather will switch focus back to its "bread and butter" security contracts in the Middle East where the enemies are less well-equipped, the glare of the media lens is less harsh, and preemptive strikes less likely to be taken out of context as "killing sprees".
"Billionaire investor and life style guru Devin Weston has disappeared. Police suspect foul play, but no body has been recovered. Mr. Weston, 51, who rose to fame in the tech bubble and subsequently made more money in a host of other industries, including entertainment, the Internet, currency trading and luxury travel, recently caused controversy when he invested heavily in Merryweather, the notorious and discredited private security firm run by Don Percival. Police responded to sounds of gunfire at Mr. Weston's villas in the hills above Chumash, but despite signs of violence and several dead security guards, Mr. Weston himself was not found, dead or alive. Also missing was one of Mr. Weston's collection of luxury cars."
Steve Haines, FIB Agent and TV host murdered while shooting TV show about being FIB Agent
Anna Foster - Los Santos Meteor
"Steve Haines, decorated FIB agent and host of the popular TV show "The Underbelly Of Paradise" unwittingly helped expose that underbelly further yesterday as he was assassinated while filming a segment of his TV show on the Ferris Whale on Del Perro Pier. Agent Haines, who had twice recently been injured in the line of duty, had been an agent for nearly 20 years and a TV host for five. FIB spokesman Gary Lane told the Los Santos Meteor "Agent Haines died a hero, doing what he loved, which was presenting a TV show. He really helped combine the chaos of anti-terrorism and the mindlessness of network television into one highly successful career." Mr. Haines, who was not married, lived with his mother."
"Wei Cheng, a prominent Triad gang boss was murdered yesterday. His Triad had been weakened by a series of recent incidents, both in Los Santos and bizarrely up in Ludendorff, North Yankton. Mr. Cheng, a Chinese national, was believed to be prominent in a two-way drug and weapon trade between China and the US, smuggling materials in and out of the country via the Port of Los Santos."
Los Santos Shepherd Newspaper[]
Harold Joseph Killed.
Jerome Smith - Los Santos Shepherd
"A notorious member of the Chamberlain Gangster Families gang was killed yesterday, only months after he released on parole. Harold OG Stretch was shot while playing basketball. No witnesses have come forward. Mr. Joseph was unmarried."
@MerryweatherSecurity - "Merryweather Security Consulting is winding down its United States operation. This is nothing to do with the congressional investigation into its activities. We will continue to offer innovative and cost effective warfare and foreign policy solutions throughout the developing world."
Phone Calls[]
Lamar Davis - Trevor can call Lamar immediately after gaining control of Trevor. Trevor will thank Lamar for his help to which he'll respond that nothing says thank you like a gold bar. But Trevor tells him that nothing says thank you like saying thank you.
Lamar Davis - Franklin can call Lamar to inform him that Stretch is dead. Lamar is shocked because Stretch is an OG, to which Franklin reprimands him, reminding Lamar that Stretch not only tried to get them killed but set them up to buy a "brick of drywall." Lamar agrees it was probably for the best and he's lucky to have Franklin making the decisions.
Solomon Richards - Michael can call Solomon who asks if everything is okay. Michael says yeah and asks when they are making their next movie. Solomon responds saying it will be soon and asks if Michael knows anyone "with some liquidity for financing." Michael says he does, and that they should have lunch together. This phone call also reveals that thequote Michael mentioned earlier is from a movie called Arthur Penny's Sanitorium.
Dave Norton - Dave calls Michael to ask if he is behaving himself, and asks about his family, to which Michael responds positively. Michael asks Dave about work, to which Dave replies that his work is "good" and he has had a few lucky breaks, specifically being short listed to take Haines' place hosting the Underbelly of Paradise. Both men tell each other to look after themselves, and part on good terms.
Patricia Madrazo - Patricia calls Trevor to say one more time that she misses him and that he is a "sweet lover", before both say their last goodbyes to each other.
Tanisha Jackson - Tanisha calls Franklin to tell him that she is getting married the next day, and Franklin wishes her the best.
E-mails and Text Messages[]
Dave Norton - Dave sends Trevor an e-mail revealing that he was the one responding to his letters to Brad. He tells Trevor that his secrets are safe with him, but also warns him to behave himself and never contact him again.
Dave Norton - Dave sends Michael an e-mail, telling him to stay out of trouble, and also tells him that he has been named the new host of The Underbelly Of Paradise, and that he will really miss his former boss and his "horrible outfits". He also hopes that he and Michael will never meet again. Michael wishes Dave luck, and promises to "be good".
Lamar Davis - Lamar sends Franklin an e-mail, saying that the latter's almost ready to start acting like a man, and how he finally learned something.
Michael De Santa - Michael sends Franklin an e-mail telling him that they "did it", and how it nearly drove Michael insane, and he hopes that Franklin learned something from hanging with him and "the maniac," even if it was "how not to grow old" and that he is his "friend for life." Franklin thanks Michael for looking out for him.
Don Percival - Don sends Michael and Trevor an e-mail saying that they have never met before, but they saved him a fortune and Don got to buy Devin Weston's Merryweather stake at a reduced cost, and he thanks them for making him a lot of money. However, he warns them to stay away from him and not interfere with his business again.
Ron Jakowski - Ron sends a text message to Trevor saying that he left a surprise for his boss by his trailer.
Stock Market[]
Even though no tips are explicit or implicitly said, while he came up with a way to deal with their situation, Lester mentions to Franklin that Devin Weston owns 11% of the shares of Merryweather. This means if he dies, his shares will drop (as later mentioned in an email sent by Don Percival, owner of Merryweather). The player can take advantage of this and use the recently obtained profits from The Big Score to invest in Merryweather Security Consulting. The percentage of return here can be as high as 70% to 100% if done right. This can be considered one of the most dangerous investments in the game.
Post-Mission Phone Calls[]
Phone Call 1[]
Solomon: "We forget a thousand things every day, can't we just make this one of them?"
Michael: Arthur Penny's Sanitorium.
Solomon: Michael, my boy, is everything okay?
Michael: Yeah, I mean, the economy's fucked, the industry I love has screwed itself, my kids are still useless, but yeah, things are okay! When are we making our next movie?
Solomon: Soon, Michael, soon. You don't know anyone with some liquidity for financing? This Union Depository thing has really schupted the market.
Michael: Actually, I know a guy who's come into some cash. Let's do lunch.
Solomon: Excellent! I'll see you soon. I love you, Michael, and I mean that with all the sincerity a movie producer can muster.
Phone Call 2[]
Dave: Michael!
Michael: Davey!
Dave: Are you behaving yourself?
Michael: Oh, but of course!
Dave: And how are the kids?
Michael: They're good. I actually mean that. Amanda too. How's work?
Dave: Work, ah, it's fine! Better than fine. It's good! Had a few lucky breaks. Look after yourself, Mike.
Michael: You too, Davey. You too.
Phone Call 3[]
Lamar: Eh, homie.
Franklin: Eh, whassup, dog. I thought you should know, man. Stretch is dead.
Lamar: He an OG!
Franklin: An OG? Man, that ni**a tried to set us up to get clapped, ni**a. And he tried to get us sold a brick of dry wall. He a dangerous motherfucker, man, now he gone!
Lamar: Probably for the best, homie. But I sure am lucky to have a cold-ass motherfucker like you to make them decisions, ni**a.
Franklin: Yeah, you are, ni**a.
Phone Call 4[]
Lamar: Eh, crazy man, you calling me to share some of that metal, dog?
Trevor: Nah, I'm calling to thank you for backing us up.
Lamar: Nothing says thank you like a gold bar, homie.
Trevor: Nothing says thank you like saying thank you. You're a good kid.
Tanisha: You know, you WILL find someone, Franklin, but before that... You gotta grow up, I mean, seriously! You didn't want to hang out with Lamar because he was too crazy, but, well, do you really think you moved on from craziness?
Franklin: Look, thanks for the lecture, alright. But listen, I'm happy for you. Honestly, I am, man. Man, I'll see you around, alright.
Tanisha: Take care of yourself.

Devin goes to Franklin's house to tell him to make his choice, much to Franklin's anger, as Devin still hadn't paid him for delivering the cars.
Franklin, Michael and Trevor killing the FIB agents and Merryweather mercenaries in the foundry.
Michael, Franklin and Trevor discussing about their targets.
In addition, in The Contract mission On Course, Franklin will mention Michael as a movie producer in 2021 during the chase through the Backlot City lot, and later Trevor as being retired in 2022 according to Ron in Los Santos Drug Wars.
For the first time in the series, all the major antagonists are killed in the same mission.
During this mission, Michael's car's rims are changed from the dollar rims to a completely different set of black rims, possibly the "GT One" wheels (unless the player has already customized the car). After the mission is completed and during the time when Michael murders Stretch, they will change back to the dollar rims.
Following the conclusion of the Foundry battle, the game will autosave, most likely as a reason to prevent progress loss if the game crashes or is closed mid-mission. Should the game be closed, then reopened, the save file will load at the point where the three protagonists split up to take out their targets. This instance of the game autosaving and being able to be loaded within a mission is the only such occasion in the entirety of Grand Theft Auto V.
The achievement "To Live or Die in Los Santos", which is acquired after beating the final mission, is a reference to the 1985 film To Live and Die in L.A..
The song that plays in the cutscene when Trevor waits for Michael and Franklin is Dog by Wavves. The song is not featured on any of the radio stations.
During the opening cutscene, Lester asks if Franklin's problem might be that "someone has the same tattoo as him". This line is also said by one of the DJs on Vinewood Boulevard Radio during one of the segments in between songs.
The internet news article about Stretch's death mentions that he was killed a couple of months after being released from prison. This suggests that the events of the storyline happen over the course of at least two in-game months.
The former can be subverted if Trevor takes another vehicle while losing the cops after killing Haines.
After completing this mission, if the player switches to Michael, Dave Norton will call and say that he hopes Michael is "behaving" himself. If the player gets a wanted level, Norton will call again and tell Michael to stop causing trouble. This only happens for the first wanted level obtained after completing the mission.
When Michael says "Be very afraid" to Franklin, it may be a reference to the 1986 movie The Fly.
Despite being referred to as FIB, the tactical units at the foundry use the NOOSE model which has "POLICE" written on the front and back, unlike the FIB tactical teams in The Wrap Up who wear uniforms with "FIB" on the back.
Michael's last quote in this mission, "I'm getting too old for this nonsense" might be a reference to or parodying Danny Glover's famous line, "I'm too old for this shit" in the Lethal Weapon film series. This is the second reference to the film franchise after Michael brought Martin Madrazo's house down in Marriage Counseling.
Should Trevor reach the rendezvous point at least one in-game minute after 20:00, the game will cycle the time to the next 20:00, which is equal to almost one in-game day.
