My tape machine's broken! This not good, ok, this never work, I'll, I'll break his legs, this bastard give me this piece of shit...
— Bomba Tomba on the radio

KGBH is a radio station in Grand Theft Auto 2. It is hosted by Bomba Tomba (voiced by Daniel McDonald), who plays classic rock, and Prodo, who plays a single techno track.

Description[]

KGBH is a pirate radio station and is the preferred station of the Russian Mafia. It is hosted by Bomba Tomba and Prodo, and only broadcasts throughout the Industrial District of Anywhere City.

According to its owner and co-host, Bomba Tomba, "KGBH plays best black market radio", but it is actually heard throughout his broadcast that KGBH is a poorly equipped station that relies on a single tape machine to play music. As a result, it has recurrent technical problems that often interfere with its broadcasts, much to Bomba Tomba's annoyance.

When working the station's poor equipment, Bomba Tomba can be heard getting angry quite often, which is likely a result of his heavy-drinking habit. Bomba Tomba has also been heard to threaten Prodo on air. Another issue likely brought on by his drinking habit is his poor organisational skills, which is oftentimes evidenced by him misplacing things, such as his truck and a special music tape that he had planned to play for his wife.

During the introduction of "Dazed & Confuzed", Bomba Tomba claims he's playing a song from an "all chicks" band called "Nipples In Chains", when in reality, he's playing the aforementioned track from "Spangly Feet". This suggests that he sometimes doesn't know what song he's playing, further evidencing his poor organisation skills.

Like KREZ, this radio has no commercials during its runtime; however, it is suggested that Bomba Tomba has played advertisements in past airings.

The station's name is likely a portmanteau of the Soviet KGB and grievous bodily harm (GBH). One of its slogans is 'where the big noise is'. Grievous Bodily Harm is also the former title of Grand Theft Auto 2 prior to being rebranded as a Grand Theft Auto sequel. It's also possible that the station is a reference to UVB-76, a mysterious Russian shortwave station that only broadcasts a repeating buzzing tone, and, like KGBH, frequently encounters technical problems due to poor equipment.
