Unbound Research Collaborative

Unbound: Learning without Limits is a research collaborative dedicating to supporting researchers, staff, students, and other interested individuals in better understanding how learning, instruction, and student and teacher support is facilitated in informal learning environments such as maker spaces, wilderness areas, or museums.

Funded Grants

Our faculty are currently engaged in over 65 federal, state, and private funded projects. Since 2005, COE faculty have been awarded more than $25 million for research, professional development, specialized student and leadership training, center development, and assessment/evaluation projects.
