Bernard Jeffrey McCullough, better known as Bernie Mac (October 5, 1957 - August 9, 2008) was an American actor, comedian and voice actor. His most noted film roles were as Frank Catton in the Ocean's film series (with Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Carl Reiner, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Bruce Willis) and as the title character of Mr. 3000.
Mac's other films included starring roles in The Players Club, Head of State, Bad Santa, Guess Who, Pride and Soul Men.
Bernie Mac died on August 9, 2008 at the age of 50 from pneumonia.
For DreamWorks, he performed the voice of Zuba in Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, which was released posthumously.
