Friendly is a 1968 American animated musical fantasy adventure comedy film produced by DW-Go Fish Cartoon Studio and directed by Bill Peet (in his directorial debut) and TBD. TBD

Development for a film about jackalopes was originally pitched in the early 1940s by Dora Wilson for Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, but it was rejected during World War II. In 1959, Wilson resuscitated the concept for a live-action film but switched back to animation due to inconvenient issues, starting production in 1964 once former Disney story man Bill Peet pitched his own jackalope story.

Friendly was released on TBD 1968 to positive reception and box-office success. The film initially became DreamWorks' second-highest-grossing animated film in the United States and Canada, and was more successful in theatrical re-releases. TBD
