"The Siamese Cat Song" (sometimes known as "We Are Siamese") is the fourth song of the 1955 Disney animated feature film Lady and the Tramp sung by Si and Am, Aunt Sarah's two Siamese cats. They sing it when Lady first meets them; and during it, they cause much destruction in the house which ends up on her head. They are voiced by Peggy Lee, who recorded her voice twice to get the effect of both of them singing in this song.
Lyrics[]
Si and Am:
We are Siamese if you please
We are Siamese if you don't please
Now we lookin' over our new domicile
If we like we stay for maybe quite a while
Si: (speaking) Do you seeing that thing swimming round and round?
Am: (speaking) Yes. Maybe we can reaching in and make it drown.
Si: (speaking) If we sneaking up upon it carefully...
Am: There will be a head for you, a tail for me
Si: (speaking) Do you hear what I hear?
Am: (speaking) A baby cry.
Where we finding baby, there are milk nearby
Si and Am: If we look in baby buggy there could be
Si: Plenty milk for you and also some for me
We are Siameeiz if you pleeiz
We are Siameeiz if you don't please.
We are former residents of Siam.
There are no finer cat than we am.
We are Siamese with very dainty claws,
Please observing paws containing dainty claws.
Now we lookin' over our new domicile,
If we like we stay for maybe quite awhile.
Who is that who's living in that wire house?
It must be a bird because it's not a mouse.
If we sneakin' up upon it carefully,
There will be some bird for you and some for me.
Do you seeing that thing swimmin' 'round and 'round?
Maybe we could reaching in and make it drown.
If we sneakin' up upon it carefully,
There will be a head for you a tail for me.
