- “They say when the wind blows, you can still hear the Tramp howl.”
- ―Sparky
Sparky is a minor character in Disney's 2001 direct-to-video film Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure, the sequel to the 1955 animated feature film Lady and the Tramp. He is one of the members of the junkyard dogs.
Background[]
Physical appearance[]
Sparky is an old-timing junkyard dog, who appears to have some spunk left in him. He is an Irish Wolfhound with light gray on his mustache and eyebrows.
Personality[]
Sparky used to know the Tramp, or so he says. Whether or not this is true is unknown. He doesn't do much else other than tell Scamp tall tales about his father. They weren't true, of course, but Sparky seems really into storytelling. He eventually leaves the junkyard with the other junkyard dogs, minus Buster, and gets adopted by a family along with Scratchy.
Trivia[]
- He bears a similarity to Amos Slade's dog Chief from The Fox and the Hound, as they are both the same breed.
- Ironically, his voice actor, Mickey Rooney, also voiced adult Tod in the same movie.
- His highly exaggerated tale of Tramp could imply that he has some type of dementia.
- Though he is classified as an Irish Wolfhound, the DVD bonus game "Tramp's Hide and Seek" calls him a mutt. This may imply that he is an unspecified mix of Irish Wolfhound.
