Splat is a major character from the 2022 Disney animated feature film Strange World. It is an inhabitant of Avalonia who befriends the Clades, especially Ethan.

Personality[]
Splat is very emotional and expressive creature. Through the use of body language it is very sassy and mischievous. It is also loyal and helpful to its friends, especially Ethan, and likes play tricks.
In the beginning, Splat is very loyal to the Reapers and its duty to protect the Strange World from any possible threats, even humans. Splat even shows frustration when a Reaper does not respond to him when presenting a possible threat, showing Splat seeks attention and is very driven to do its job in protecting the Strange World. However, after Ethan treated a burn he received from touching a Pando plant, Splat's views started to change where it saw the human teenager along his friends and family, not as enemies or threats, but as allies who could help protect the Strange World.
Appearance[]
Splat is a rather small creature. It has a blue round bloblike body with protrusions popping out of his body, acting as limbs. Its main body has some darker spots. Certain pieces of artwork show it with a cyan or light blue coloration and may remove the spots on his main body. It has no eyes, ears, or mouth.

Strange World[]
Splat first appears where it is spotted by Searcher Clade after he grabs a hold of his handkerchief. Curious of the creature, Searcher lifts up Splat who slaps Searcher in the face and runs off with his handkerchief. It is pursued by Searcher and his dog, Legend, but Splat signals a Reaper to attack them, but they are saved by Jaeger Clade while Splat escapes.
Once Upon a Studio[]
Splat returns inside the Disney Animation studio where it is started to flirt with Ursula, while everyone are gathering for the 100th anniversary picture time. Splat then joins in on the group photo with the Clade family.
Wish[]
Splat was among the Disney animated characters that appeared during the credits.

A statue of Splat could be found alongside with a banner for Strange World as a former photo-op to promote the release of the film.

Trivia[]
- In the movie, there is another creature similar to Splat, but is red.
- Given Splat and his species relationship to the Reapers (likely the movie's version of killer T cells), they are more likely representative of Dendritic cells which find and receive information and send T cells after threats.
- On top of this the stingray like creatures are demonstrably the red blood cells, the red splat was likely colored that way to differentiate it from Splat so viewers would not be confused.
