Candle Fox is a supporting character of the television show Kiff. She is one of Kiff and Barry's classmates at Table Town Middle School, and the daughter of famous film and television producer Roy Fox.
Background[]
Candle is the daughter of Roy Fox, the head of Foxhole Productions. She lives with her father in their mansion in suburban Table Town, and is a student at Table Town Middle School, where she attends Miss Deer Teacher's class with Kiff Chatterley and Barry Buns. At school, Candle is the leader of the Abras, a popular clique consisting of herself and her close friends Billiam, Kim Popularé, and Lizette.
Personality[]
Being Roy Fox's daughter, Candle is often spoiled by her father and lives a wealthy lifestyle, residing in a mansion and owning numerous expensive toys and gadgets. While she occasionally displays snooty and pretentious qualities, Candle is a mostly amiable and open-minded individual, and frequently tags along with the rest of her class in their exploits. She is highly confident, and even received the nickname "Exact Change", as shown in "Nicknames", because of her belief that "young people have the power to change the world... exactly".
Candle's wealth and connections have at times proven to be assets in her exploits with her classmates. In "Principal Dance Socks", she manages to convince Roy to feature Table Town Middle School on the TV show Dancing on the Tables, which he produces, and in "Blooper Quest", Roy finances the production of Kiff's film Found in Ambiguity. Candle also has financial expertise; in "Friendship In The Time Of Cheese Caves", she is shown to be knowledgeable on the prices of different products, and in "Snow More Ketchup", she mentions that she was caught skipping volleyball practice to trade stock tips by the town wharf.
Physical appearance[]
Candle is a fox with red fur, cream markings on her face, stomach, tail and the inside of her ears, and a black nose.
Relationships[]
Kiff Chatterley and Barry Buns[]
In her first notable appearance in "Pool Party", Candle invites her entire class, including Kiff and Barry, to her birthday party at a water park.
Candle has her first major interaction with Kiff and Barry in "Two Truths and a Bunny". When Lizette is unable to attend Candle's sleepover, Candle invites Barry instead, but calls him "Kiff", leading Kiff and Barry to assume they are both invited; Candle later explains that due to Kiff and Barry's closeness, she sometimes confuses the two. Barry mentions that he thought Kiff and Candle were "adversaries", which Kiff denies, while also admitting that she is only attending to discover the secret meaning behind the Abras' name. However, Barry's inability to play the game two truths and lie at the sleepover convinces Candle that Kiff and Barry cannot be trusted to keep a secret. Later, Kiff calls the Abras "phony balonies" when they react indifferently to Barry's expert deconstruction of Kim's lies (Claiming that Her name is "Kennedy Popularé", claiming to be a transfer student from Tuft Pierre, having a raisin for a "beauty mark", claiming that She went skiing in the Alps, claiming that She can hula-hoop, claiming that She broke her pinky-toe twice).
In subsequent episodes, Candle and Kiff are shown to be quite friendly with each other. Candle has played a supporting role in Kiff's plans in numerous episodes, including "Nicknames", "Weekly Grocery Shop", and "Snow More Ketchup". In "Friendship In The Time Of Cheese Caves", Kiff encourages Candle to befriend Trevor and later helps repair the friendship between the two.
Roy Fox[]
Roy loves and regularly indulges Candle, who enjoys a pampered lifestyle due to Roy's fame and wealth, to the point that he even lets Candle get involved in his professional life; in "Principal Dance Socks", for instance, he agrees to feature Candle's school on Dancing on the Tables at her request.
The Abras[]
Candle and three of her closest friends – Billiam, Kim, and Lizette – make up the Abras, a highly popular clique at Table Town Middle School. The group derived their name from the final four letters in the word "candelabra" due to the word's similarity with Candle's name.
Of her fellow Abras, Candle is seen most frequently with Billiam, as both are in Miss Deer Teacher's class. In "Leave a Little Juice", Candle asks Billiam to take his muddy shoes off before entering her mansion, though their conversation unexpectedly turns emotional when Billiam interprets Candle's request as a sign that their friendship is faltering.
Trevor Angstrom[]
In "Friendship In The Time Of Cheese Caves", Candle and Trevor are tasked with manning the sales booth at the class car wash despite their lack of chemistry, with Candle even refusing a simple high five from Trevor. After some encouragement from Kiff, the two end up becoming close friends, but Trevor breaks off the friendship after receiving an awkward "chunky text" from Candle, greatly upsetting her. Kiff eventually manages to help Candle and Trevor reconcile, and in the process, Kiff discovers, to her annoyance, that the two initially bonded by making fun of Kiff's shorts.

Trivia[]
- Her father, Roy, owns much of the entertainment in Table Town and therefore, she is technically heir to it all.
- During development for the series, she was originally going to be Kiff's arch-nemesis. However, the writers "ran into problems" writing her that way and as a result she was made friendlier while keeping her popular girl personality.[1]

We ran into this fun problem where Candle was supposed to be Kiff's arch nemesis at school, but we loved her character so much we all sort of all became "Team Candle," and now that's reflected in her character arc. Don't worry, she's still a boss and "that girl." (May 4, 2023 · 2:55 PM UTC)
