なんか知らんけど、イスラエル教育相の Gideon Sa'ar 氏が（イスラエル国内の）Ben-Gurion 大学で講師をしてる Neve Gordon 氏を批判した。
理由としては、Gordon 氏が『イスラエルはアパルトヘイト国家だ』と LATimes の論説でぶち上げたかららしいが・・・。

元は、2009年8月20日に LATimesで発表した『Boycott Israel』という論説（一応、2009年8月21日付けで guardian.co.uk にも転載された）。

この論説の中で Gordon 氏は、イスラエル国内でイスラエルへのボイコットを支持する人達が少ないことを指摘していた。
Gordon 氏は、その辺の事情について察してはいるのだが・・・。
その上で、イスラエルのボイコットを世界各国に呼びかける理由を、「イスラエルの人達を救うため」としている。

ついでに、イスラエルの現状について結構キツイ書き方をしていた。

うははは。
イスラエルを「アパルトヘイト国家」と称したか。
ある意味正解だけど、この発言はイスラエルで仕事をしてる Gordon 氏にしてみれば結構勇気のいることじゃないだろうか？
流石に、この発言をイスラエル国内でするわけにはいかなかったんだろうが・・・。

で、この後、Gordon 氏は、 two-state solution（二国家解決案）を支持する理由とかについても触れてるが、面倒なので省略。


だがこの論説に、イスラエル政府が噛み付いたのは言うまでもない。
とりわけ、LA のイスラエル総領事館の総領事 こと Yaakov Dayan 氏は、例の論説について Ben-Gurion 大学の名誉を傷つけたと非難していた。

つまるところ、イスラエルの大学ではシオニズムを否定する教授や講師は存在してはいけないってことになるのか。
どんだけ偏狭なんだよ。

また、Ben-Gurion 大学は、Gordon 氏の見解を否定した。

なんだろうな。
これって、日本の大学講師が日本の天皇制を批判することを国外のメディアで公表した際に、当の大学が非難してるってことなんだろうか？（違）
要は、大学が政府側の見解を支持したり宣伝する役回りを演じてるって奴だが。
ま、これは、イスラエルや日本に限らず、世界各国で起こってることなのかもしれないが・・・。

Ben-Gurion 大学の方々やイスラエル政府は、Gordon 氏の発言を非難する前にイスラエルがどのような状況にあるのかってのを良く検討するべきだと思う。
とりわけ、パレスチナの人達やレバノンの人達に何をしてきたのかについては、ね・・・。


それはそうと。
Gordon 氏達が（俺もだが）呼びかけてるイスラエルへのボイコット運動ってのは、長期的にはイスラエルやパレスチナの人達にとっていいのかもしれないけど、短期的にはイスラエル国内で排他主義やら外国人排斥を訴える人達を余計に増やすなんてオチがつく悪寒。
