Yvonne Kennedy (January 8, 1945-December 8, 2012) was a Democratic member of the Alabama House of Representatives, representing the 97th District from 1982 until her death on December 8, 2012.[1]

Kennedy's professional experience includes working as the President of S.D. Bishop State Junior College.

Kennedy was a member of the American Association for Higher Education Board, America's Junior Miss Scholarship Foundation Incorporated and Christian Methodist Episcopal Church. Kennedy was also Youth Director of the Board of Christian Education, Southeast Alabama Conference, National President of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, Trustee of Miles College and Chair of the Mobile County United Negro College Fund Campaign.[2]

On November 7, 2006, Kennedy was re-elected to the 97th District Seat in the Alabama House of Representatives, running unopposed in the general election.[4]
