Dr. Gerardo Cruz is the superintendent of the United Independent School District. He was appointed superintendent in August 2024. His previous career experience includes working as a teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent.[1][2]
Past superintendents
- David Gonzalez was the superintendent of the United Independent School District. He was appointed superintendent in 2021 and served until 2024. Gonzalez's previous career experience includes serving as Associate Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction for the district.[3]
- Roberto J. Santos was the superintendent of the United Independent School District from 2005 to 2021. Santos' previous career experience included working for the district as Assistant Superintendent for Support Services and Director of Human Resources.[4]
